The European Union is one of the biggest market of garment export in China. Since May 8th this year, the EU's new regulations on textile labeling have been formally implemented. The new regulations impose more stringent requirements for product labels and so on. The labels of textile products must be marked with the country of origin. If the products are packaged, they should be marked on the packages; other commercial documents showing the origin of the products can not be used as labels; at least two links in the manufacturing process of a textile such as spinning, weaving, finishing or sewing, are considered as originating in the European Union countries; textile labels must clearly indicate whether the non textile parts such as fur and leather originate from animals. For example, products imported from third countries should be enforced with original labels.
