The main problems of substandard commodities include pH value exceeding standard, unqualified color fastness, defective slip, unqualified fiber content and unstandard product mark.

For these batches of substandard goods, Shanghai business sector has asked relevant businesses to get off the shelves.

Some brands have "black list" on many occasions.

Among the unqualified products exposed, there are many famous brands such as "H, M", "ZARA", "VERO MODA" and "G2000 WOMEN".

Among them, a "H, M" brand of leisure jacket sleeves and slots are "fabric slippage", was judged to be unqualified; a "G2000 WOMEN" women's clothing.

In January 2007, a "ZARA" skirt was exposed to more than two times the formaldehyde content of the Shanghai industry and Commerce Department. In the 43 batches of substandard products that were exposed by the business sector in Shanghai, there were 21 batches of substandard color fastness, accounting for 48.8% of the total.

At the same time, there are 11 batches of defective products, accounting for 25.6% of the total number of substandard products.

Slippage has become a major complaint item, mainly due to the split of sleeves at the sleeve bottom, side seam and back seam.

In order to pursue the close fitting effect of tailoring, fast fashion clothes often neglect the actual wearing and using properties of fabrics.

In addition, there are 5 batches of pH value exceeding the standard, 16 batches of fiber content is not true, 3 batches of product marks are not standardized.

We should pay attention to the marking of labels, such as fabric composition, safety classification, quality grade, specification and type, execution standard, washing instructions, etc.

Similar products should be selected from price, fabric, workmanship, brand awareness and manufacturer reputation.
