As the first local standard of national costume in China, the local standard of Mongolian costume includes the characteristics and traditional styles of 28 Mongolian tribal costumes in Inner Mongolia, and 56 sets of standards.

The physical standard samples have color effect diagram, style map, cutting map, and are issued in two versions, Mongolian and Chinese.

It is understood that this is also the first local cultural standard in our district.

Bai Jinchang, vice-chairman of the Inner Mongolia national costume Association, said: "this standard provides a scientific and authoritative basis for standardizing the production and use of Mongolian traditional costumes, and opens up a new way for the protection, inheritance, teaching, scientific research and innovative development of national fine traditional costumes."

The Mongolian traditional costume, which has a history of more than 800 years, carries a large amount of historical and cultural information about Mongolian customs and etiquette.

In 2008, Mongolian costume was included in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

The clothing culture with its own characteristics has been formed, such as the costumes of Naiman tribes usually embroidered with eight treasures, while the Aohan tribes are embroidered birthday pictures.

Today, however, the collocation of Mongolian clothing is very common, and even the matching of clothes in models in some museums is wrong.

Although this kind of nonstandard application of traditional dress culture is unconsciously, it often misleads and hurts national feelings.

Setting local standards for Mongolian costumes is the thought of Lan Ying for a long time. She has an unforgettable complex about her traditional costumes. She wants to preserve the profound cultural accumulation in Mongolian costume by means of standardized science and technology, so as to achieve better protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.

For this reason, since last August, she has gone through a large number of investigations, excavations and collections in various county museums and inheriting families, and conducted a comprehensive investigation and arrangement of the clothes of 28 Mongolian tribes.

After many discussions and strict examination by relevant experts and scholars, the standard was released in June this year.
