Over the years, Shenzhen's highly creative young fashion designers have gradually emerged. Whether in the exhibition hall and the catwalk of the recently held Shenzhen Fashion Expo, or in the "fetishism" shop of OCT Creative Park in OCT, the design of the young generation of independent fashion designers has always been dazzling.
Compared with the older generation, the young generation of fashion designers have many superior families and overseas education backgrounds. They never forget to try bravely in the booming market environment.
Some of these young designers' works are exaggerated in shape and bold in color, some pay attention to materials and deliberate tailoring, some carry forward the tradition and excellent technology, and some pursue nature and use clothing as a metaphor for life attitude.
These young designers who have accepted the western fashion design concepts and methods are not pure takers. Most of them integrate China and the West, and integrate national and local aesthetic tastes while constantly absorbing foreign skills. They are not completely idealistic, putting all their eggs in the market and ignoring it. They are deeply aware that even the most independent design needs audience appreciation, and try to make clothing design into people's lives and become something that people can touch.
Wang Zishan, a designer who designed "fake collars" by hand embroidery and sewing, swept through the Shenzhen Chaoren circle. At first, she insisted on professional clothing design. But in the consignment store, she found that "fake collars" sold as accessories of clothing products were more popular. So she changed her mind, took "fake collars" as the main product line, and clothing as the match, which was widely recognized by the market.
Looking through the history of many international luxury brands and clothing brands, we can find how similar the initial sprout of Shenzhen clothing design industry is. In Shenzhen, where the fashion industry and cultural creative design are developing in a turbulent wave, there are not only the leading designers in the industry, but also the young designers who insist on independent design.
