The building area of the national culture palace is 32000 square meters, the main building is 13 stories, the height is 67 meters, the East and West Wing buildings encircle both sides, the central exhibition hall extends northward, the eaves top is crowned with peacock blue glazed tiles, the building is white, and the tower is towering.

The whole architectural style is unique, rich, magnificent and spectacular, and has a unique Chinese national style.

It enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad, and is deeply loved by the people of all ethnic groups in the country. In 1994, it was elected by the people of Beijing as the first of 50 "my favorite national style architecture". As the first palace of new China, it was published in the world history of architecture in Britain. At the twentieth session of the International Association of architects in 1999, the National Cultural Palace was selected as one of the top architectural art products of twentieth Century.

The National Cultural Palace is a cultural institution directly under the State Ethnic Affairs Commission.

The exhibition hall, the Chinese national library, the museum, the national art academy, the Grand Theater and other departments are set up.

It has many functions such as publicizing the party's national policies, organizing national exhibitions, collecting and studying cultural relics and documents of ethnic minorities, providing ethnic books and periodicals, carrying out national cultural exchanges, undertaking national activities and performing performances. It is a window for Chinese and foreign people to understand the culture of Chinese minorities.

The purpose of the National Cultural Palace is to serve the national cultural undertakings, serve the national work and serve the unity and progress of all nationalities.

Over forty years since its establishment, the National Cultural Palace has collected over 5 pieces of valuable ethnic minority cultural relics. It has 24 volumes of over 60 volumes of ethnic minority literature and Chinese books.

A series of special cultural exhibitions including musical instruments, arts and crafts, masks and the basic exhibition of traditional culture of Chinese minorities are exhibited here. The achievements of the traditional culture and economic construction of nearly 50 brothers in all ethnic regions of the country are shown here. National musical and Chinese and foreign famous music and operas and other dramas have been staged; ethnic audio-visual products have been published; and ethnic style catering culture has been displayed.

Foreign guests, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots and overseas Chinese in nearly 100 countries and regions were received, and hundreds of thousands of visitors, guests and readers were received every year.

Exhibition hall scale: the exhibition hall of the National Art Gallery has an area of 2200 square meters: the hall is 86 square meters, the 1 hall is 1400 square meters, the 2 hall is 520 square meters, and the 3 hall is 200 square meters.
