Hongkong Fashion Festival Predicts Spring And Summer Wear Development Direction

The Hongkong fashion festival spring summer series has five pavilions, including Mainland China, Macao, China, Taiwan, India and Indonesia.
This year, there are two new exhibition areas based on demand: "fashion jewelry world" and "scarf Gallery" area.
At the same time, the conference organized 87 buyers from 70 countries and regions, and over 4600 buyers participated in the exhibition to participate in the procurement so that exhibitors could contact more buyers in overseas markets and expand business circles.
Forecast the trend of fashion development in the future
To enable the industry to grasp the latest trends in the market, the conference held a series of seminars during the exhibition to provide forward-looking information for the industry.
Zhao Guiju, editor in chief of WGSN Asia Pacific, pointed out that WONDERLAB, THE STORY OF NOW and IDIOMATIC will become the three major trends of spring and summer in 2013, with the "WGSN global overview: 2013 spring summer and future major fashion trends".
WONDERLAB is the combination of motion sense elements. In addition, some fresh and simple lace brought by laser cutting technique and the metal accessories added are also the trend.
Another trend will be THE STORY OF NOW.
A metal like appearance will be the mainstream direction of cloth and create a modern fashion sense.
In addition, there is another trend that is IDIOMATIC, which will explore unique local cultures in different regions, thus giving rise to all kinds of distinctive hue and patterns.
In addition to the 2013 spring and summer fashion trends, she also revealed that 2013/2014 autumn and winter will take LIVING DESIGN, 21st CENTURY ROMANCE and HAC-TIVATE as the main trend, for example, the latter HAC-TIVATE pays attention to the elements of playful, DIY and technology.
Inject fresh blood into design
The conference also held many fashion shows to let the new design elites display the extraordinary originality of the local design to the global buyers.
The winners and finalists of the 13 most recent three Hongkong youth fashion designers' performance competitions, including Liang Jia Jian, Li Zhilin, Mai Chi Chi, Wu Qiqi, Wu Minfeng and Ren Minghui, jointly produced a fashion show called FASHIONALLY COLLECTION, presenting 11 new fashion series.
Graduates from the Department of textile and clothing science, Hong Kong Polytech University and students of fashion design and product development of the Institute of professional continuing education, Chinese University Hong Kong also hold graduation fashion shows and show their strength.
Push a number of measures to help industry expand business opportunities
Hongkong TDC also introduced a number of measures to help the industry develop business opportunities during the exhibition.
Zhou Qiliang, vice president of the Hongkong Trade Development Council, said: "the clothing industry is an important lifeline of Hongkong's economy. It has a long history. With many years of flexible sales matching and excellent production technology, buyers from all over the world will choose to purchase clothing and accessories in Hong Kong. At the same time, the local fashion industry is developing new blood and keeping pace with the times and complementing the local garment industry.
Hongkong Fashion Festival is an important business platform in the international fashion industry. Diversified business activities bring together buyers, exhibitors and industry representatives to create business opportunities.
At the same time, he said: "even though the export prospects of Hongkong are still uncertain, the pace of economic recovery in the traditional market and around the world is not ideal, but for Hong Kong businessmen, attending trade fairs is still a cost-effective promotion mode to let them know buyers from all over the world."
During the fashion festival, Hongkong TDC also introduced a number of measures, including the provision of cheaper economic booths and designer windows, providing a solid choice for Hong Kong businessmen.
E-LAND Retail Ltd., the first Korean fashion buyer who visited the fashion festival for the first time, is one of the largest fashion dealers in Korea. It operates 33 brands and 40 department stores.
Its representative, CHOI Sun Young, said: "we purchase about 30% OEM products, especially women's garments and scarves from mainland China, Malaysia jeans and Hongkong sweaters. I will collect all the information and then contact the exhibitors.
