From next month, the compulsory standard of China's new national standard for textile products, the National Technical Code for Basic Safety of Textile Products, will be officially implemented. The new national standard clearly stipulates that children under 3 years old clothing It must meet the Class A standard, otherwise it will be prohibited to produce and sell.

Although the standard was officially implemented after a year's delay, a reporter recently visited the Fuzhou children's clothing market and found that the deadline was approaching, and some children's clothing on sale in Fuzhou could not meet the technical requirements of the new national standard.

The new edition of the National Basic Safety Technical Specifications for Textile Products strictly defines the formaldehyde content, pH value, odor and other related indicators, and divides textile products into three grades: A, B and C. Among them, Class A clothing can be worn by infants under 3 years of age.

From next month, clothing for children under 3 years of age will be subject to Class A standards, and the production, sale and import of textile products that do not meet the new standards will be prohibited.

Yesterday, the reporter visited some children's clothing stores near Zhongting Street and South Street in Fuzhou, and clearly told the staff to buy clothing for infants aged 2 to 3 years old. However, most of the merchants finally recommended clothing to the reporter that implements the B or C standards.

The reporter found that most of the children's clothes that fail to meet the new national standard are generally sold at a discount of 5~6%, and the price of clothes after discount is basically within 50 yuan.
