    China International Footwear Exhibition Delivers Service To Entrepreneurs

    On the morning of March 26, 2008, the forum of representatives of China Leather Association and Wenling entrepreneurs was held in Wenling City, Zhejiang province. The participants at the forum were: Wei Yafei, director of shoe making office of China Leather Association, Li Yanping, deputy director of leather logo Office of China Leather Association, Ma Ruihua, office of market development, Huang Xiaobin, deputy director of Wenling Industry Bureau, Ma Huadong, deputy director general of Wenling industrial bureau, Wang Lihui, Deputy Secretary General of Wenling shoe and leather industry association, and representative of dozen local shoe manufacturers in Wenling.

    Wei Yafei, director of shoe making office of China Leather Association, first introduced the development status, difficulties and future prospects of China's footwear industry.

    She said that under the influence of national macro policies and international trade situation, the difficulties faced by China's shoe making industry are mainly from the pressure of export tax rebate reduction, RMB appreciation, raw material prices, labor costs and so on, but at the same time, domestic production and exports are growing steadily, and the industry is shifting steadily to the central and western regions, and the industry development is still in a healthy track.

    In 2007, China's exports of footwear products reached 8 billion 170 million pairs, an increase of 6.8%, and exports earned 24 billion 100 million US dollars, an increase of 14.9%.

    Later, she made a brief introduction and comparison of some footwear exhibitions which are influential at home and abroad.

    She said that most of the domestic shoe manufacturers could not or would not go abroad for exhibitors because of the high cost of overseas exhibitions, remote roads and inconvenient pportation.

    The China international footwear exhibition jointly organized by China Leather Association and Hongkong Bowen Exhibition Co., Ltd. has the advantages of hosting authority, prominent advantages of regional trade, professional exhibition service and relatively low exhibition cost. It has undoubtedly become the best choice for Wenling and even the whole country to participate in professional footwear exhibition and develop domestic and overseas markets.

    Ma Ruihua briefed the participating entrepreneurs on the publicity and buyer organization of China Leather Association to China International Footwear Exhibition, and indicated that the China Leather Association will intensify its efforts to organize international buyers.

    At present, through the sending of e-magazines, the China International Footwear Exhibition will be released to members of the international buyers of the Guangzhou Fair and the buyer's Bank of the Ministry of Commerce, and the relevant information of the exhibitors will be highlighted, with a view to inviting more international buyers, so that our enterprises can reach buyers all over the world without going abroad.

    For domestic buyers, according to the current status of Wenling shoe industry, the China Leather Association will organize some second and three line shopping malls and supermarkets to visit the exhibition positions of Wenling enterprises.

    After that, representatives from the local shoemaking enterprises in Wenling spoke successively.

    The representative from Barlett introduced his experiences and feelings of participating in shoe exhibitions at home and abroad in recent years. Yu Huoye, a representative of Limited by Share Ltd from Zhejiang's Zhejiang Province (Group), introduced the way and experience of his company to open up overseas markets. The representative from Zhejiang good brothers Footwear Company Limited talked about his understanding and suggestions for the exhibition. He suggested that in order to better highlight the overall brand characteristics of Wenling footwear industry, it is suggested that Wenling enterprises should participate in the exhibition as a whole, plan and layout uniformly so as to achieve the goal of promoting Wenling's shoe industry.

    In order to raise the brand awareness of Wenling footwear industry and further implement the brand development strategy, director Li Yanping of the China Leather Association's real leather logo Office introduced in detail the history and significance of the real leather logo.

    In the process of gradually developing and expanding the footwear industry in Wenling, there are bound to emerge a number of excellent enterprises. But how to guide these enterprises to go abroad and become the world famous enterprises, the China Leather Association has the duty and obligation to serve them.
