AQSIQ has conducted a total sample survey of 100 kinds of shoes produced by 100 enterprises in 7 provinces and municipalities in Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong and Sichuan. The AQSIQ has checked 8 items, including appearance quality, wear resistance, peel strength, hardness of outsole, color fastness to rubbing and free formaldehyde, according to relevant national standards and enterprise's quality requirements. The results of spot checks showed that 84 products met the standards. Some of the 16 products were not up to standard, and the unqualified items involved free formaldehyde and wear resistance.
