China'S Textile And Garment Exports Declined In The First Half Of The Year.

In the 1-7 month of 2012, China's foreign trade volume reached US $2 trillion and 168 billion 370 million.

Compared with the same period in 2011, it increased by 7.1%.

In July 2012, exports of textiles and clothing reached 23 billion 889 million yuan, down 8.1% compared to the same period last year, and the growth rate was 4.37%.

Among them, exports of textiles (including yarns, fabrics and products) amounted to US $8 billion 2 million, compared with the previous year.

The export volume of garments (including garments and accessories) reached 8.06% dollars, which was 8.13% lower than that of 15 billion 887 million.

In the United States, Europe and other developed countries and regions, affected by the European debt crisis, the economy recovered slowly, the unemployment rate remained at a high level, the employment structure deteriorated and consumer confidence declined.

These factors limit the demand for textiles and clothing, while limiting the demand of related industries.

At the beginning of the year, the textile and clothing industry expects that exports will remain low or negative growth in the first half of this year.

According to the Ministry of industry and information, the international market is still in the doldrums. The gap between domestic and foreign cotton prices continues to expand and competition is more intense. This is the main limiting factor for China's textile exports.

Imports accounted for 36.1% of the US's imports from similar products worldwide, down 4.04 percentage points from the same period last year.

According to Japanese customs statistics, imports of textiles and clothing from China accounted for 73% of Japan's similar products imported from the world in 1-4 months, down 1.95 percentage points from the same period last year.

Over the same period, India, Vietnam, Bangladesh and other countries also increased their share in the US and Japanese markets.

Regarding the situation in the second half of this year, the Ministry of industry and information technology said that the international economic situation is not optimistic, and low international demand will continue.

Enterprises are still in a difficult situation in the second half of the year.

Exports of textiles and clothing continue to grow at a low level, and the overall benefits will decline sharply and business losses will expand.

Many small and medium-sized enterprises will go bankrupt.
