Industry has been playing an important role in the economic and social development of our country. It is the traditional pillar industry of our national economy and the important industry of the people's livelihood. It is also an important industry in the international competitive advantage. It plays an important role in the prosperity of the market, the expansion of export, the absorption of employment, the increase of farmers' income and the development of urbanization.

The sixteen years since the party's 10 big years is the glorious 10 years of the rapid development of China's textile industry. It is also the 10 year for the whole industry to accumulate energy and move towards the textile power.

Over the past 10 years, China's textile industry has further consolidated the position of the world's textile giant along the road of scientific development, and has made great strides towards the goal of textile power.

Production capacity of main products ranks first in the world.

China's chemical fiber, yarn, cloth, woolen goods, silk fabrics,

    clothing

Its output ranks first in the world and is the largest producer of textiles and clothing in the world.

In 2003, China produced 11 million 810 thousand tons of chemical fiber, 9 million 840 thousand tons of yarn and 35 billion 400 million meters of cloth.

By 2010, China's chemical fiber production reached 30 million 900 thousand tons, 2.6 times the output in 2003, 27 million 170 thousand tons of yarn production, 2.8 times the output of 2003, and 80 billion tons of cloth production, 2.3 times the output of 2003.

If the annual growth rate of production is calculated, the average annual growth rate of chemical fiber, yarn and cloth is 15%, 16% and 12% respectively.

In recent years, China's textile industry

    Garment industry

Despite the slowdown in global economic recovery in the post crisis era and the impact of demand fatigue, production rate has gradually slowed down, but the textile production capacity of textile enterprises above designated size is still strong.

According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, in 2012 1~6, China's textile enterprises above Designated Size accumulated 18 million 840 thousand tons of chemical fiber, an increase of 15% over the same period last year. The total production of yarn was 15 million 80 thousand tons, an increase of 13% over the same period last year, and the total production volume was nearly 30 billion meters, up 12% over the same period last year.

With the rapid growth of the production capacity of our main products, China's textile machinery production and demand have also increased rapidly.

Our country is not only the largest textile machinery producing country in the world, it can provide the most diverse and the largest quantity of products, and in recent years, the import demand of our textile machinery and equipment has maintained a rapid growth.

Specifically, air-jet looms, shuttleless looms, circular knitting machines, hosiery machines,

    cotton

Imports of processing machinery showed a significant growth trend.

This means that demand for Chinese textile machinery is still strong.

    Clothing trade

Accounting for 30% of the world's total

The international market has always been an important factor in promoting the development of China's textile industry.

At present, about 25% of the total sales value of textile enterprises above designated size is realized in the international market.

According to China's customs data, the total export volume of textiles and clothing in China in 2003 was $80 billion 500 million, and by 2011, the total export volume of textiles and clothing in China increased by 2.2 times to 254 billion 100 million US dollars.

Moreover, China's textile and apparel also occupy a leading position in the international market.

According to WTO data, China's textile and garment exports accounted for 19% of the total export volume of textiles and clothing in 2003. By 2010, China's textile and garment exports accounted for 34% of the total export volume of textiles and clothing.

According to the relevant data from the US, Europe and Japan, China's textile and apparel account for more than 40% of the total import and export market share, accounting for more than 70% of Japan's import market share.

Although the international financial crisis and the slow progress of the global economic recovery caused the shrinking demand in the international market, a great pressure has been formed on the export of China's textile industry. However, from the overall development trend, the market share of China's textile industry in the international market is still basically stable.

According to customs data, in 2012 1~6, China's textile and clothing exports totaled $117 billion 100 million, but still maintained a small positive growth momentum.

Regional structural adjustment of industry and industry has achieved remarkable results.

20 years ago, the eastern region of China used geographically located resources and other resources to actively face the international market and carry out overseas orders and coastal processing modes, thus making the textile industry in the eastern region develop rapidly.

After "11th Five-Year", along with the implementation of the western development strategy, the revitalization of the northeast old industrial base and the promotion of the strategic rise of central China, the textile industry in the central and western regions showed a relatively fast development trend under the impetus of the comparative advantage of production factors and the gradient pfer of industries.

Many eastern enterprises have invested and built factories in the central and western regions, which not only reduced the relative factor cost in the eastern region, but also attracted the attention of investors from the huge domestic market demand. The pfer of industries to the mainland can not only satisfy the external demand, but also take into account domestic demand.

According to the National Bureau of statistics, in 2011, the investment in fixed assets in the central and western regions accounted for nearly 40% of the total investment in fixed assets in the whole industry. In 2003, the proportion of fixed assets investment in the central and western regions accounted for only 22% of the total.

Under the impetus of the regional structural adjustment of investment, the textile industry in the central and western regions has developed.

It is estimated that during the "11th Five-Year" period, the average annual growth rate of industrial output value of textile enterprises above Designated Size in the central and western regions was 27% and 25% respectively, while the average annual growth rate in the eastern region was 16%.

The proportion of output value of the central and western regions to the total industrial output value of the whole industry is also increasing year by year.

According to the statistics of National Bureau of statistics, in 2012 1~6, the total output value of textile industry in the central and western regions of China accounted for 19% of the national total, which was 1.2 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year.

Domestic market development has become the main driving force.

With the rapid development of China's economy and the gradual increase of residents' income level, the demand for textile and clothing consumption of Chinese residents has increased rapidly.

According to relevant data, from 2005 to 2010, China's per capita consumption of clothing and clothing increased by an average of 15% per year.

Driven by the growth of domestic consumption demand, the proportion of domestic market in recent years has reached a new high. It has become the main driving force for the development of China's textile industry.

Especially after the outbreak of the financial crisis, the domestic market has played a key role in stabilizing the textile industry.

According to the statistics of National Bureau of statistics, the proportion of domestic sales of textile industry in China was about 67% in 2003, and by 2012 1~6, the proportion of domestic sales of China's textile industry has increased to 84%.

China's domestic market continues to take a new step and become an important driving force for the development of China's textile industry.

China's textile industry has made brilliant achievements in terms of production capacity, trade capacity, regional structural adjustment, and domestic market development. At the same time, it has actively explored the combination of microelectronics, biology, information technology and traditional textile technology, greatly accelerated the development speed of textile high and new technology, and accelerated the growth of brand. The productivity of the whole industry (calculated by gross industrial output) continued to rise rapidly.

In 2011, the labour productivity of textile industry above Designated Size (calculated by gross industrial output value) was 530 thousand yuan per person per year, an average annual growth rate of 17% compared with 2003.

Labour productivity in the first half of 2012 was 550 thousand yuan / person / year, an increase of 13% over the same period last year.

The so-called time is the scale marking the pace of progress.

Over the past 10 years, great achievements have been made in the development of China's textile industry, which once again confirms that the textile industry is an important strategic fulcrum for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

According to the plan, it is estimated that by 2020, China will realize an important pformation from a big textile nation to a strong textile country.
