The standard Inspection Bureau of the Ministry of economic affairs revised the two CNS standards of CNS12789 "wheeled sports equipment roller skates" and CNS12870 "wheeled sports equipment skateboards" with reference to EN13899 and EN13613.

The newly released roller skates and skateboards standard clearly stipulate the weight limit of users. Among them, the roller skates are specified in the safety requirements section, which sets out the safety standards and corresponding test methods for projecting parts and edges, fasteners, shifting safety, bandages, starting and / or braking devices, rolling gears, wheel shafts, wheels, bearings, self-locking nuts and other components and control facilities.

In the skateboard standard, the items such as protrusions, wheel shafts, action bolts, footsteps, edges and wheels of the pedals and their test methods are included in order to ensure that consumers do not cause contusion or abrasion due to prominent parts or sharp edges when using the above products, and also avoid dangerous phenomena such as loosening, breaking and jamming of parts such as wheels, axles and bearings when used.
