Last year, the output value was 32 billion 900 million yuan, accounting for 68.5% of the total industrial output value. The textile and clothing featured by underwear and home clothing became the leading industry in the six pillar industries of the South Chaonan area.

The production of household clothing in Chaonan is about 80% of that in the mainland of China. The output of women's underwear is about 40% of that in the mainland of China. The output of accessories and accessories accounts for 35% of the country's total, and it is the main production base for textile and clothing in East Guangdong and even across the country.

The installation of the underwear household clothing festival is an important measure to speed up the upgrading of textile and garment industry and create regional brand of textile and clothing.

Secretary Chen Wunan, Vice Mayor Lin Yimin and Lu Jiansheng inspector emphasized in his speech a series of work done recently in the Southern District to speed up the upgrading of the industrial structure, and have made remarkable achievements.

Take the textile and garment industry as a breakthrough, implement the Scientific Outlook on Development, strive to promote industrial upgrading and adjustment, and provide a strong guarantee for the rapid economic development of the whole region and even the whole city.

At the opening ceremony, the China Federation of textile industry announced the award of "China underwear and household clothing famous city" in Chaonan district. The Guangdong Provincial Commission of letters announced that the Chaonan district was "the industrial cluster for the pformation and upgrading of the garment industry in Guangdong province". It was also unveiled by the Secretary of the Shantou municipal Party committee, Li Feng, vice president of the China Textile Industry Federation, Lu Jiansheng, deputy Guangdong inspector Lu Jiansheng and Chaonan District Secretary Chen Wunan.

In addition, the China Textile Information Center and the people's Government of Chaonan district signed a memorandum of understanding to build "China Chaonan textile industry innovation base".

The textile ceremony in Chaonan district was held at the opening ceremony.

2013 the collective contract signing ceremony for new products at the scene has 30 companies participating in the collective signing of the site, with an order of 1 billion 150 million yuan.

This clothing festival has received 174 enterprises from the mainland of China, ordering new underwear products and textile raw and auxiliary materials in 2013. The total order is 5 billion 840 million yuan.

The other special activity of Chaonan clothing festival, Chaonan textile and clothing exhibition industry sustainable development summit forum, on the issue of how clothing companies create their competitive edge, technological innovation to brand growth, and the development of textile and garment industry in the south of Shantou, invited the leading experts of the China Textile Industry Federation, Sun Ruizhe, general manager of the city of Shantou, and the leading consultant, chief management expert Xu Bin, to give keynote speeches, and to give advice on the development of the garment industry in Chaonan.
