Korean Fiber Products Exports Grew By 15.7% In August

Statistics show that the export amount of US $46 billion 380 million, an increase of 27.1% over the same month last year, and the total export volume from 1 to August was US $370 billion 720 million, compared with the previous year.

Increase in the same period

In the 13 major export projects of August, except for 2 exports of semiconductors and liquid crystal displays, 14.1% and 21.5% respectively, the other export items were growing: oil products 84.5%, ships 77.5%, computer 42.2%, petroleum chemistry 34%, automobile 32.5%, automobile components 31.7%, steel products 30.9%, household appliances 30.9%, general machinery 30.9%,

15.7% and wireless communication machine 7.1%.

Except for the United States, the Middle East and central and South America, there were 5.9%, 0.3% and 31.4% decline respectively in the main regional exports, the growth in the rest areas, 16.5% in mainland China, 30.9% in Japan, 7% in the European Union, 26.9% in ASEAN and 42.1% in Oceania.

South Korea's Ministry of knowledge economy said that it was affected by seasonal factors such as summer vacation, slowing export growth of IT products, and reduced exports of steel, automobiles and ships, and so on in August.

Balance of trade surplus

Drastically reduced to $800 million, the lowest level in the past 19 months.
