Quanzhou'S Cooperation With ASEAN Is Also Deepening The Rapid Growth Of Export Trade.

From 2002 to 2012, the economic and trade cooperation between Quanzhou and ASEAN is also deepening, and export trade has maintained rapid growth.

The figures of the Quanzhou Municipal Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau show that in 2002, the export volume of ASEAN to ASEAN was 94 million 270 thousand US dollars, up 38.69% from the same period last year. In 2011, Quanzhou's exports to ASEAN amounted to US $1 billion 490 million, up 33.9% over the same period last year.
From this figure, in the 10 years, Quanzhou's exports to ASEAN increased by more than 15 times, and the year-on-year growth rate was basically above 30%.
According to the relevant person in charge of Quanzhou Municipal Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, the export volume of ASEAN to ASEAN in the first half of 2010 amounted to 550 million US dollars, up 95.9% over the same period last year. ASEAN once surpassed the US in 2011 and jumped to the second largest export area in our city.
From 1 to August this year, Quanzhou's export growth to ASEAN reached 31.92% and exports amounted to 1 billion 231 million US dollars.
Many industries are complementary and competitive.
According to the relevant personages of Fujian Huiyuan International Exhibition Co., Ltd., Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore have become the main sources of electronic components in Fujian with high technology content. Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia are the main suppliers of Fujian minerals, primary plastics, timber and so on.
Quanzhou's exports to ASEAN are mainly electrical and mechanical products, footwear, and citrus.

For Quanzhou shoes and clothing enterprises, their goal of entering ASEAN market is not product export, but brand output.
It is understood that at present, Quanzhou sports shoes brand in the form of exclusive stores in Southeast Asia has Anta, XTEP, 31st degree, PEAK, Hongxing Erke and so on. Up to the end of last year, there were 14 enterprises invested in ASEAN.

Mei Feng, Longfeng Textile Marketing Director, plans to participate in the Vietnam Textile noodles accessories exhibition in November. He believes that the relocation of target customers to Southeast Asia will drive the sales of textile enterprises to shift their focus.
