Changes in synthetic leather market in major provinces and municipalities

Fujian: Fujian synthetic leather grew rapidly in the first half of this year, ranking second in the country.

In 2011, it broke through 300 thousand tons, and the growth rate was 53.35%. The proportion of the whole country jumped from 16% in 2008 to 16%. In the first half of this year, the output reached 315 thousand and 900 tons, an increase of 234.8% over the same period last year, accounting for 22.3% of the total output of synthetic leather in the whole country, and the proportion increased by 6 percentage points again.

Zhejiang: the growth rate of synthetic leather in Zhejiang in the two quarter was rebounded than that in the first quarter.

Growth stagnated in the first quarter.

Output in the first quarter was 406 thousand tons, accounting for 51% of the whole country. Negative growth occurred in March this year, with a cumulative growth rate of 1.1% and a sharp decline.

The output in the two quarter was 570 thousand tons, representing a 11 percentage point reduction in the total output of the country compared with 51% in the first quarter.

Jiangsu: the proportion of synthetic leather in Jiangsu is abated.

In the first half of this year, the annual output of synthetic leather reached 174 thousand tons in Jiangsu Province, accounting for 12% of the whole country, and the growth rate in the first half of this year was not high, only 6%.

In 2011, 323 thousand and 300 tons, a decrease of 4%, accounting for 13% of the total output of the country. The first half of the year continued to decline by one percentage point.
