Interview With Nike Senior Planning Manager: Design Concept Of LEBRON X

Q: compared to LEBRON 9, what do you think is the highlight of LEBERON X?

The highlight of A: lies in the design concept of the king of diamonds.

Each color match has its own unique story, so when you look at all the colors, you will find that each of them has a special story.

Apart from that, the bigger highlight is, of course, the technology of shoes.

This pair of sneakers will have a specially designed damping system for James. The new generation of flying line (Flywire) technology is different from the previous flying line. The new generation of technology enables the shoes to maintain a good symbiotic relationship with their feet. It will move along with the movement of the feet, providing flexibility while providing good package.

The use of the structure takes into account light weight, abrasion resistance and permeability.

Q: what does James require for his signature sneakers?

A: for us, each pair of LEBRON signature sneakers needs to contain three elements: protection, package and quick response.

What we need to do now is to make the shoes better.

Therefore, in terms of protection, we have added shock absorbing protection layer to improve the effect of earthquake mitigation and provide quick response.

In terms of support, we use the new technology of Flywire, making the shoes more flexible and more wrapped.

With the advent of Hyperfuse shoe upper structure, I began to use diamond cutting technology.

As long as you like, you can have lightweight upper, good air permeability and protection.

So far, protection, inclusion and quick response are what we have, and what we are doing is to make these three points even better.

James has talked a lot about damping. Good shock absorption system is what he wants most.

If you look back at the first pair of Soldier we designed for James, you will find one thing James always insists: "I hope my sneakers are comfortable enough."

He really cares about the comfort of the shoes, and we have been working hard for a long time -- to ensure the excellent comfort of the shoes at the beginning of the design.

Once you wear these shoes, you can experience a great sense of dress immediately.

This is what we are looking for, not only to solve the wearability of the ball shoes when playing on the traditional hard court, but also to ensure its excellent comfort.

In fact, James pays close attention to personal dress and has his own style. He always wants to look great himself.

What special color matching will Q: LEBRION X have?

A: LBJ X will issue a special color matching Cutting Jade in China.

This edition shows the elements of jade in Chinese culture, and uses diamond cutting technology to cut jade.

We have studied a lot of information about diamonds in Chinese culture, combined with the symbol of diamonds in other regions, so we used the color of "jade cutting" to better restore the meaning of diamonds in Chinese culture.

In addition, we have many other versions of diamond colors, one of which is called "Pressure", which is inspired by the melting of diamonds in the hot hot weather.

The color matching of this version is intense. We also have green diamond series, blue diamond series and black diamond series (this is a series of carbon fiber nylon).

It is because of the unique story of each color of the diamond itself that we have the inspiration to design this diamond series of sneakers.

Take blue diamond as an example, it represents a connection with electricity.

So we will also tell you a lot about the story of diamonds in the new series, so that the theme of the diamond can be integrated into the shoes, not just a name for the shoes.

All these USAB series, the American flag series, the green diamond series, and so on, have their close related stories behind their series sneakers.

Q: reverse Swoosh is very rare in NIKE sneakers. Can you talk about its design intent?

A: yes, we designed the direction Swoosh and moved it to the heel.

In fact, the special version of the Swoosh design concept comes from James himself.

He once said, "I don't want the same Swoosh. What I need is a special Swoosh."

This requirement makes the designer Jason Petrie have to design an ingenious version of Swoosh.

In this way, every time you see these special shoes, you will see the upper, and notice the overall design of the shoes.

This is the symbolic detail that belongs to James.

Q: LEBRON X has unique soles shock absorption technology. Can you talk about the whole palm air cushion?

A: this is the first time in Nike.

This technology is used even in all Nike products.

We want to make James mobile better integrate with his buffer effect, which is more consistent.

We designed ZOOM AIR on the front sole of the shoe and designed MAX AIR at the root of the shoe.

The purpose is to let the wearer get better experience while moving, but at the same time, we also hope that our products can bring better response to the feet of wearers.

When your shoes have a good cushioning effect, it can get a better shock proof effect, so that you can protect your knees, back, ankles and so on.

At the same time, when you wear your shoes on the floor, it can give you a good counterforce.

So the problem we need to solve is how to combine the excellent cushioning effect with the appropriate counterforce.

The visible whole palm air cushion is the answer to the problem.

Q: LEBRON X will be the first to have NIKE+ technology signature basketball shoes. Can you talk about your views on this technology?

A: Nike+ can motivate athletes to return to the stadium.

When we embarked on the design of Nike+, our aim was to enable children to use Nike+ to get better performance in competitions.

When you see your NIKE FUEL POINTS, you can get a lot of data, including your vertical bounce ability, the energy consumed, and your speed performance.

In this way, you can not only become a leader among your peers, but also constantly challenge yourself.

Not only is Lebron, but Nike+ encourages athletes and sports enthusiasts to constantly improve their performance with data and achieve better results.

Q: will James really play in the LEBRON X with NIKE+?

A: will.

Will Q: have a special version of the south coast of Miami?

A: is confidential, but that's a good question.

Soon, we will have many special color versions coming out, not just for the South China Sea.

We are going to use these colors to represent what is meaningful to James, that is, to tell us what happened to him in color.

For me, the south coast is one of my favorite versions.

Q: did James ask himself to wear new shoes on the Olympic Games?
