Four Measures To Ensure Pollutant Reduction In Shengzhou

Recently, from the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, this year, Shengzhou will intensify efforts in four areas to ensure the completion of the task of reducing emissions of major pollutants.

First of all, we should improve the three systems of pollution reduction statistics, monitoring and assessment. We should supervise and urge enterprises to establish "three volume" accounts for pollutant increment, reduction and variables, and complete the first pollution source census work. Two, we should optimize the industrial structure.

Enterprises should be encouraged to adopt clean production technology to promote the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure in printing and dyeing, paper making, chemical industry, leather making and other industries, and accelerate the dismantling of scattered small boilers in the heating area, and implement the linkage system of administrative licensing and emission reduction performance of construction projects.

In addition, in the construction of pollution control projects, we should further accelerate the environmental statistics key investigation enterprises pollution control, urban sewage treatment projects and thermal power industries desulfurization projects.

As a government functional department, the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau will also strictly supervise and improve the operation rate of pollution control facilities and the rate of pollutant discharge reaching the standard.
