After graduation, he worked as a designer in the clothing Brand Company of Shanghai and Ningbo and the fabric company in Singapore.
Then he returned to his hometown of Quanzhou and started a Gioia clothing custom studio.
Two years' apprenticeship training for basic skills
For many people who want to step into the fashion design industry, how to get out of the first step has always been a difficult problem. Zhuo Jia's two-year working experience in Shanghai may be able to tell them the answer to this question.
Out of the school of design, Zhuo Jia came to work in a fabric factory in Shanghai.
"At school, the knowledge of fabric was very limited. At that time, only cotton and linen were known. Only a thousand kinds of fabrics were found in the factory, and actually the fabrics were mostly made of chemical fibers and blended fabrics.
This job gives me a comprehensive knowledge of fabric.
In addition to dealing with fabrics, Zhuo also became friends with many fabric suppliers. "In this way, the source of fabric will be assured in the future."
After that, Zhuo Jia was in Italy, Ningbo.
Brand clothing
As a designer assistant, "I know the whole process of clothing design, production and sale, including clothing display and store layout" for a year and a half as an assistant. These are not accessible to schools.
"Two years' work is like being an apprentice. Although I had a fabric procurement channel at hand, and I knew all about the production and marketing process of clothing, I didn't have the qualifications to become a qualified operator." a year ago, Zhujia returned to Quanzhou from Shanghai. "I'm just holding a very simple idea of starting an undertaking. As for how to do it concretely, there is no bottom in my mind."
To the surprise of friends and relatives, Zhujia did not rush around the streets looking for stores. Instead, he went to Xiamen to find the secret of being an operator.

In a brand planning friend, Zhuo Jia found the answer needed.
"We discuss the positioning of target customers, take ourselves as customers, and analyze their shopping motives, consumption budgets, phased choices, buying behaviors and buying experiences in a virtual shopping trip."
In half a month, Zhuojia is full of such questions: why should customers buy this skirt? How do you make use of quality, price and service to attract customers by shopping centers and shopping malls, which are more concentrated in Quanzhou's brand clothes? How can a salesperson introduce clothing to make customers feel tempted? What kind of service should a clothing store provide to satisfy customers?
"Solving a problem is equivalent to eliminating a failure factor", making clear the motives of customers buying products, can clearly find a slogan that best attracts customers. Finding customers' favorite shopping places can find the most suitable store; providing customers with a pleasant purchase experience is like a "mobile signboard".
In this way, following the analysis of customer's consumption behavior, Zhuo Jia walks into the clothing custom industry of Quanzhou. She opens with a fashion show and owns a distinctive tailoring shop.
Cutting 30 sets of unsold clothes has a profound lesson.
When Zhuo Jia thought that everything started to go smoothly, the changing promotion of each clothing store in April gave her a heavy blow.
"There are only two or three customers in a month." Zhuo Jia is sitting in a studio, facing the room full of fabrics and garments. "Apart from promoting sales, the clothes I design do not match the needs of customers, and they are also fatal factors for failure."
Holding 30 sets of clothes that had not been sold for a long time, Zhuo Jia said frankly, because he prefers European and American fashion design style, some clothes originally designed are not in line with the needs of Quanzhou people.
"The skirt designed according to the European and American style is very short, short or long and ankle". She took a dress and said, "this style is designed by Chanel style, but few customers approve of this style now."
"Entrepreneurship requires profit to ensure the survival and development of our business. For commercial purposes, I must adjust tactics."
Zhujia began to analyze the design works and adjust the design plan according to the customers' suggestions.
A month later, the clothes on the shelves had the first "repeat customers".
Now, Zhuo Jia has to accept fifteen or six garments customization business every month, and orders are also scheduled for August.
Ready to wear, first-line designers are in line with the world trend.
Most people came to Zhuo Jia's clothing design studio for the first time. They could not see the difference between the shop and the tailor's shop. The price of making a dress at least 500 yuan was also prohibitive. "What's the difference between your shop and the ordinary tailor shop"? It's the new customer's biggest question.
The biggest selling point of clothing customization is to customize clothing, which can integrate the most fashionable elements of the world that suit the wearer, select the fabric that meets the customers' skin color and touch requirements, and the clothing style is also the unique original product of the designer.
In addition, if customers see a desirable design on the Internet or book, they can also be customized in the studio.
"This is a common phenomenon in Shanghai. Many white-collar workers choose this way of buying clothes to create their own social wardrobe."
Similarly, the customer's personal files were established, including fashion elements design, white embryo fitting and handwork making processes, but to be truly "customized", they must conform to the uniform standards of the international garment industry.
Zhuo Jia said that the industry in China is still far from the term "customization", and many designers have been groping in practice. "In France, there are only a hundred people who are qualified to be engaged in garment customization, and the price of custom garments is over 10000 yuan."
With a steady number of customers, Zhuo has also come up with ideas from some designers in Shanghai.
The fashion elements in the world will take six months to enter China, and these elements will be pferred to Quanzhou from Shanghai and Beijing for another half a year. This is the place where Zhujia feels the most deeply after six months in the studio. "Many customers say that this situation makes people feel that they can not catch up with the pace of fashion in terms of clothing consumption."
