Italy's clothing, French handbags, Spanish leather shoes and windbreaker of England are expensive luxuries. Nowadays, a lot of Chinese people can also be named after a round of advertising bombing. Some fashionable and quality people may buy some "promotion grades".
But are these international brands really representing quality?
In the recent inspection of brand name clothing quality and safety in Zhejiang industrial and commercial bureau, almost all the domestic brands passed, while nearly 80% of the international brands failed.
According to the inspectors, the standards are based on the European Union standards and are much more relaxed than the EU standards.
But how can these international brands flaunt quality and taste fail the most basic quality?

The Zhejiang provincial commerce and Industry Bureau recently sampled 37 representative samples of 13 internationally famous brands and some domestic brands in Hangzhou's several high-end department stores.
The tested foreign brands include sharks, Dupont, HUGOBOSS (Hugo Bos), BURBERRY (Bo Baili), Aquascutum (Jagle Dan), TOMMYHILFIGER and so on, mainly from thirteen countries and regions such as Italy, England, Portugal, Turkey, Philippines, Malaysia and so on. The products include trousers, shirts, casual pants, jackets, T-Shirts, jeans, sweaters, skirts and blouses.
Domestic brands include Shanshan, YOUNGOR, and seven wolves.
BOSS, as a senior German clothing brand, has always given people the impression of exquisite impression test, and almost surprised everyone.
In addition to individual problems, all the domestic brands examined pass through the customs.
But the international brands that are worth 10 times or even more than the "local brand" have fallen.
Of the 13 internationally recognized brands, only 15 batches were eligible for the 37 batches, with a pass rate of 40%.
According to the brand calculation, 10 of the 13 internationally famous brands failed, and the qualified rate of the brands was only 23%.
"The quality inspection of garments is mainly carried out in accordance with the two mandatory national standards and relevant industry standards of the" textiles and clothing instructions "and" basic technical specifications for textile safety ".

Judging from this test situation, the unqualified use instructions are manifested in the incorrect and unstandard water washing charts, incorrect marking of product sizes and labels, and misuse of labels in fiber size labels.
Of course, there are still serious safety and falsehood problems in the internationally renowned clothing, mainly due to color fastness, pH value and fiber content.
Weng Hongli said that dyes with poor color fastness are easily pferred to the skin and cause harm to the human body.
PH value as an important safety index, too high or too low will cause skin allergy.
And fiber content is not qualified, mainly reflects the marked fiber content and measured fiber content does not match, some of which are malicious fraud.
For example, HUGOBOSS (Hugo Bos) is marked as 100% pure cotton, measured 100% polyester, BURBERRY (Bo Bai), labeled 100% polyester, measured 100% viscose, and the brand is labeled as viscose, measured as copper ammonia fiber.
For such a test result, as an ordinary consumer, the overwhelming majority of people after the test results released the first reaction is: No, how come?
It's fake.
Like ordinary consumers, business people who took charge of sampling were initially suspicious of the results.
However, after tracing the origin of these products, the industry and Commerce staff found that all the products seized were genuine.
Pan Wei, deputy director of the Zhejiang Bureau of consumer protection, told reporters: "there is no problem of counterfeit goods. After the test results came out, the industry and Commerce Department sent a letter to each clothing dealer. However, during the whole period of doubt, few people had different opinions on the test results.
The "famous brand" quality gate "interrogates the quality problems of China's standard deficiency, and even malicious malpractices appear on genuine international brand names. "For a long time, there was no corresponding inspection standard for clothing safety in China for a long time.
After the "technical specification for basic safety of textiles" was released, the business department of Zhejiang Province, with a tentative attitude, wanted to test it as a touchstone on the market, only to find such a result.
However, what puzzled the businessmen most is that the domestic "basic technical specifications for textile safety" came out of the relevant European Union standards, which is much more relaxed than the EU standard. However, the problem of the internationally famous brand clothing has not been detected in the European market.
"It is hard for us to say whether these garment enterprises discriminate against Chinese consumers.
"Pan Wei believes that there should be no problem with clothes that can be popular in Europe as a matter of principle.
I am not surprised to hear that 80% of the international brand clothes are unqualified. This is entirely possible.
Whether domestic brands or international first-line brands, there may be testing quality problems, which also exposed many international first-line brands in China's survival.

In connection with the frequent occurrence of "quality gate" events in China, some experts think that while speculating on foreign enterprises, it is also necessary to give their own number.
What should be seen is that if there is no technical specification for basic safety of textiles, the supervision of textile safety and quality will always be in vacuum, so that more Chinese consumers will become "abolished".
Once there are industry standards, many "brand-name" products will soon show off.
This insight pointed out that China should speed up the process of standardization.
He Xiaoming, deputy director of the Consumer Protection Office of Zhejiang industrial and commercial bureau, believes that the first step must be to establish corresponding industry standards to prevent unqualified products from entering the market at the source.
He Xiaoming said: "compared with foreign countries, China's standardization construction is lagging behind, or there should be no standard standard, or the revision and update of the standard is slow and the content is not perfect. At present, many commodities in the market are in a state of lack of standards.
Standardization construction is an important means for a country to safeguard its own interests in foreign trade.
He Xiaoming said that the trade barriers set up by customs in the post WTO era will disappear, and ultimately rely on technology and corresponding technical standards.
In recent years, Europe and the United States have repeatedly applied technical barriers to China's exports, and Japan has recently thrown out a "positive list" to set limits on the export of Chinese agricultural products.
On the contrary, because of the lack of technical standards in China, not only the export of enterprises is limited, but also many unqualified "junk" products are coming in.
We must say that the consumption psychology of "greedy" and "expensive" is starting from late March, and the problem of international famous brand clothing begins to return in Zhejiang.
However, in other parts of the country, these expensive clothes are still popular among consumers.

An interview with TOMMY store in China World Trade Center found that consumers who visited here did not even know that 13 international brands such as TOMMY were recently inspected for quality problems.
A young lady bought more than 4000 yuan of merchandise in this store on the same day, and became a VIP member here. She said that TOMMY's clothes she bought abroad was very fashionable. She felt that such an internationally famous brand should not have any quality problems.
Reporters in Tianjin international shopping center just opened TOMMY store almost saw the same situation, the salesperson of the shop also said that TOMMY and other brands were investigated and dealt with nothing, and said that this is impossible, should be dealt with are counterfeit goods.
The salesperson also said, TOMMY's brand name is big, natural counterfeit products are more, which has affected brand reputation, they also feel headache.
In fact, after the exposure of the unqualified international brand inspection by the media, many brands that had been detected had taken an evasive attitude. Some media interviews have also been evaded by various forms. Almost outside Zhejiang, the famous brand "quality gate" incident has not been greatly expanded, even though the staff of these brand stores in other cities in China are not aware of such a thing.
In fact, it is impossible for the real brand to have quality problems. In fact, it is the psychological state of many consumers. Many Chinese consumers still lack superstitious psychology for the world famous brands under the magnificent aura.

Some experts believe that the unhealthy consumption psychology of domestic consumers who are "greedy" and "expensive" can be used by some illegal foreign enterprises and sell some "sub brands" to China.
