Thailand Shoe Makers Hope The Government Can Help.
The Thailand Footwear Association has put forward a proposal to the Department of industry development of the Ministry of industry in Thailand. It is hoped that the government can provide assistance and guidance to the shoemaking industry, and evaluate the production potential of footwear and the development plan of fashionable footwear moulds. At present, the footwear industry in Thailand must spend about 13 million baht on imports of footwear moulds from Italy, and the cost will be increased.
The association said it had already delivered part of the mold deposit. The price of the fashionable footwear mold was 30 thousand baht higher than the average. The shoe industry could not afford it, and the government could help.
