2008 Hongkong Spring And Summer Fashion Show
2008-7-8 to 2008-7-11 exhibits contents: baby clothing, evening dress, women's wear, underwear, men's wear, sportswear, fashion accessories, handbags, shoes, buttons, cloth, shipping marks, fashion magazines and other exhibitions. Asia's top second fashion show has 1147 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions. The regional exhibition hall includes: Mainland China, Taiwan, India, Philippines, South Korea, Malaysia and Macao attracting 17082 buyers from 94 countries and regions to visit Asia's top design and fashion festivals, Hongkong international fashion collection. The exhibition was organised by the Hongkong Trade Development Council (TDC). The 7 regional exhibitions were held by exhibitors from mainland China, India, Korea, Macao, Malaysia, Philippines and Taiwan, while Russia, Spain and Turkey were the first to participate.
The TDC organized 64 buyers' groups to visit Italy and arranged for more than 2250 buyers. Among them, there were many famous clothing brands, large chain stores and wholesalers, such as Hathor Pty from Australia, Antalok of Hungary, MaxMara and Lotto Italian Sport Design of Italy, Senso Unico of Japan, LLP and Lotto of the Japanese, and Spain,
The four day exhibition shows a wide range of clothing, clothing accessories and clothing related products, such as fashion, handbags, shoes, jewelry and fabrics.
In order to cater for the market demand and facilitate the purchase of products needed by visitors, the exhibition has seven different theme product areas, of which three are new exhibition areas.
The fashion industry is one of the most important industries in Hongkong. From January 2007 to May, the total export of garments and accessories in Hongkong increased by 3.6% to 10 billion 100 million US dollars compared with the same period last year.
