Mimura Hito Designs Rice Husk Shoes To Help Marathon Athletes Win Olympic Gold Medals
At the end of this month, Ryan Hall and Dina Castor (Deena Kastor) in the US plan to test the latest running shoes designed by Japanese senior shoemaker.
These long distance running shoes are famous for their shoes designed by Manolo Blahnik, whose shoes are not famous for gel and air cushions, but are known for their grip on rice husks.
The shoes are designed by Mimura Hito (Hitoshi Mimura), tailored for marathon runners.
Mimura Hito, 59, is a legendary figure in the Japanese sports world who used to be a marathon runner. Her best performance in marathon is 2 hours and 28 minutes.
She is now a senior shoemaker in Japan sporting goods manufacturer Arthur (ASIC).
He devoted his whole life to sports shoes and was hired by ASIC for a long time to design a series of marathon shoes.
Before designing and making, he must fully understand the player's body structure, running method, racing conditions, temperature and climate factors before starting to finish.
There are many gold medal shoes from him.
Over the years, the marathon runner's outstanding performance and achievements in the Olympic Games helped him win the gold medal.
Three Olympic marathon winners all cross the shoes designed by three villages.
His shoes are known for their lightweight, efficient heat dissipation, cushioning and skid resistance.
This is very important in hot and humid Beijing.
The three villages came to China in April to learn about the Beijing marathon runway.
He found that the runway was very flat, the pavement materials were different, slippery stone pavements, and the new paved asphalt pavements were also harder than those of Japan.
Moreover, in August, Beijing had more rain and humid weather, and the runway would be relatively slippery.
In view of these factors, three villages designed rice husk marathon shoes.
He designed the husk of rice husk, which is polyester material at the bottom. The purpose is to ventilate and ventilate, and to resist the dust and sand that stimulate the hands and feet.
He also wants to reduce the temperature inside the shoe from about 109 degrees Fahrenheit to 99 degrees Fahrenheit.
Each shoe has a small amount of rice hull embedded in the rubber of the sole, so designed to absorb moisture, and at the same time, it provides 10% traction for the 26.2 mile marathon runway in Beijing in August. Most of the cushioning system of the shoes is made of sponge in the middle, light and elastic; the material of the shoe bottom is cotton and polyester material, the purpose is to absorb sweat; when running, every step forward, the rice hull is concave, the tiny space can absorb water, the floor has little impact on the sole, the sole is resilient, and the foot is not easy to cause, it also protects the knees.
It is light, comfortable and soft.
Castor said she liked this kind of shoes and that they were very environmentally friendly.
ASIC first proposed the concept of rice hull in the mid 1990s for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.
A company spokesman said the idea stems from Japanese tire manufacturers' technology to prevent winter car skidding.
In the mid 90s of last century, as a member of the company's R & D department, three villages helped to improve the husk of rice husk and provide more reliable water absorption.
The three village said he had done experiments with sand, plastic and even iron powder.
At last the rice husk was used. "The rice husk is lighter, cheaper, and has a good water absorption."
The three village was designed by Mizuki Noguchi, a rice husk marathon shoe, which made her go through the wet marble road in Athens, and won the 2004 women's Marathon Championship.
He also made shoes for Stefano Baldini from Italy (Stefano Baldini), so that he won the 2004 Olympic men's Marathon Championship.
Prior to that, he won the Sydney Olympic champion in 2000, Takahashi Naoko (Naoko Takahashi) designed a non rice husk marathon shoes, reputation.
The world's top marathon runner boarded a Japanese newspaper. After the match, she revealed that she had slept with these rice husk shoes on the night before the 2004 Olympic Games.
At that time in Athens, after she ran to the finish line, the first thing was to take off a shoe and give it a tender kiss.
Later, she called the three village "the God of shoes".
Last autumn, ye Kou said that in order to participate in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, he was going to wear the updated "magic shoes" and compete with world-class athletes.
Howl from the United States began to itch after reading about her news report.
This spring, he wore marathon shoes designed by ASIC, ranking fifth in the London Marathon to get the qualification of this summer Beijing Olympic Games.
Castor, bronze medalist of the 2004 Athens Olympic marathon, said that "Olympic Games are the embodiment of running".
She was sponsored by ASIC as well as hall.
She said: "in the preparation of matches and competitions, there is a great deal of difference.
We must be careful not to make a single mistake, otherwise it will lead to a big mistake.
"I'm looking for shoes that excite me," said howl. "If you can find shoes that put people to sleep, they must be quite good shoes."
In fact, wild mouth has always kept those shoes in the bedroom, but not on the pillow.
"It's kind of like dating a girl," howl said. "For some people, deciding two days of life is enough, but for others, it takes four years.
You have to trust your shoes.
Like other people, I am full of curiosity about these shoes. What makes them so special?
The three village designer of shoes is a legend in Japan, a country that is crazy about marathons.
He began to serve ASIC 41 years ago.
Japanese marathon runner Tosa Reiko (Reiko Tosa) won the third place in the women's World Championships in 2007.
She used to wear rice hull shoes, but she did not plan to wear them in Beijing.
She said she did not need sponge like cushioning.
Another Japanese player, Yuko Arimori, won the bronze medal in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic marathon.
But she complained that rice husk shoes are not wear resistant and easily damaged.
Therefore, when the 2000 Olympic champion Takahashi made shoes, the three villages did not use the technology.
Moreover, he risked destroying his reputation and losing his job to design shoes for Gaoqiao.
The three villages secretly made Gaoqiao shoes with slightly different sole thickness to make up for the fact that her left leg was 8 millimeter longer than her right leg.
Before taking part in the Sydney Olympic Games, she had tried a pair of running shoes with different shoes, but they were very uncomfortable.
However, the three villages believe that Gaoqiao needs such shoes to avoid the pain caused by uneven legs.
In the absence of Gaoqiao, three villages made shoes with uneven shoes for her.
Then he wrote his resignation letter to quit his job when Gaoqiao won't win a gold medal.
"I decided to take full responsibility, because the shoes I made were not in keeping with her wishes."
Speaking of the resignation, Mimura said, "I don't have to hand in it. It's still on my desk."
A year later, Castor had witnessed the meticulous and precise work of the three villages.
In 2001, Castor met three villages in the World Athletics Championships held in Edmonton, Alberta province (Alberta). (Edmonton)
He used a tape measure to measure her feet carefully, which took 20 minutes.
It includes the length and circumference of each toe, the width of the heel and the Achilles tendon.
Castor said: "before that, I didn't know that there were so many measurements for a foot.
His shoes fit well, just like gloves are suitable for hands.
In his Japanese office, the three village used a more scientific and high-technology method to measure the foot of the wild mouth - a three-dimensional computer model, measured from 13 different angles and measured four or five times a year.
For the Beijing Olympic Games, the three villages have already made running shoes for the wild mouth, only 3.85 ounces, while the jogging shoes are 11 or 12 ounces.
"It's only a Japanese hamburger size, not an American hamburger."
The three village said, "a warrior can't fight without a sword, and a marathon runner can't have no shoes."
