Textile Project: Integrated Pest Management And Demonstration In China
< p > recently, the Sino Thai cotton pest comprehensive treatment and demonstration project was launched by China and Tajikistan.
In the next 3 years, our scientists will import Xinjiang's better cotton planting technology and pest control technology into Tajikistan, and establish a pest monitoring network to help local cotton increase production and income.

< p > Xinjiang, China is one of the most important cotton producing areas in the world. It has basically formed a technical system combining cotton breeding, high quality, high yield, high efficiency and water saving with high effective comprehensive prevention and control of harmful organisms.
It is understood that the natural environment of Tajikistan is very similar to that of southern Xinjiang. However, in recent years, cotton pests in Tajikistan are seriously endangered, which greatly affects the development of cotton industry.

< p > according to the project leader of Xinjiang Institute of natural science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, due to the reasons of agricultural technology, production management, mechanization level, pest control ability and so on, the yield of Tajikistan lint per mu is only 60 kilograms, while the yield of Xinjiang lint per mu is 120 kg ~150 kg.

< p > with the launch of the project, the Xinjiang Institute of natural sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will cooperate with the Institute of zoology of the Tajikistan Academy of Sciences.

< p > plan to use 3 years to help Tajikistan establish 10~12 pest monitoring station, basically build a warning and control platform for cotton pests, and vigorously promote biological control and physical control technology, and establish a complete cotton pest integrated technology system in Tajikistan.
And in the Tajik construction demonstration area, training scientific and technological personnel, expanding the scope of application, to provide technical support for cotton production in Tajikistan.
