Vietnam Footwear Increased To Market Share In The US
This year the world shoe Association (WSA) exhibition is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas on 28-30 July this year.
The Vietnam leather footwear association (Lefaso) plans to send an enterprise delegation related to footwear to participate in the exhibition and display their products.
The Vietnam leather shoe association has taken this step to increase its presence and market share in the lucrative US market, especially in North America, because Vietnam's shoe exports to the region increase by 20% annually.
Experts say Vietnam's shoe shoe is heavily dependent on the EU market for foreign exchange earnings.
This is a worrying situation, because it will create an imbalance in exports, and there is also the risk of anti-dumping.
By diversifying overseas consumers, the opportunity to get into trouble will be reduced.
After the closure of the world shoe Association Exhibition, the delegation from Vietnam will visit Mexico to find business possibilities and sign a new joint venture agreement.
In the first half of 2008, Vietnam's footwear exports reached $2 billion 274 million, an increase of 17% over the same period last year.
The world Footwear Association Exhibition will bring together international buyers and distributors related to footwear industry.
