After more than two years of development and construction, the newly developed industrial park in the eastern part of Tangshan, the former urban economic development depression, has begun to take shape and thrive everywhere.

Affected by the complex geological structure, there are hidden dangers such as mining collapse and karst collapse in the area, resulting in its economic and social development lagging behind. It has been called "the corner forgotten by the city".

In 2011, Lubei District took a long-term view and made scientific plans for the region in light of its actual conditions and launched the construction of new industrial parks in the East.

In March 2012, the new industrial park in the East was approved by the joint meeting of key city projects and approved in the same year in October.

The high-end equipment manufacturing and new material areas will focus on the pformation and upgrading of high-end manufacturing enterprises such as metallurgical equipment and machinery manufacturing, and vigorously develop new materials needed for high-end equipment manufacturing industry. The modern logistics area will be built into logistics centers, distribution centers, pportation organizations and management centers and logistics information centers. The high-tech zones will focus on the introduction of the top 500 enterprises in the world, the large enterprises directly under the central government and the top 100 electronic enterprises in China, focusing on the development of electronic and information technology, new energy and high-efficiency energy saving technology, and environmental protection hi tech industries.

It is estimated that by 2015, the region will build a new industrial park with complete functions, good ecological environment, distinctive industrial characteristics and strong regional competitiveness.

In addition, in light of the geological structure characteristics of new industrial parks, light construction materials are widely used in project construction, and green coverage is achieved in the areas of seismic fault zones, mining subsidence and karst collapse areas, which not only achieves safety protection but also beautifies and brightens the environment. At present, the "three horizontal and four vertical" road network has initially formed, and the supporting facilities such as water, electricity, heating, gas and communications have been built simultaneously, basically achieving "seven links and one level".

On the project side, the Equipment Remanufacturing project with a total investment of 120 million yuan has been built and started trial operation. After formally put into operation, it can use high-tech means to maintain and repair large industrial equipment and achieve considerable economic benefits; the total investment of Tangshan Iron and steel plate deep processing project is 150 million yuan, the main project of the project has been completed, and the equipment is being imported and debugged. It is expected that it will be trial operation in mid August, and the capacity of steel consumption can reach 2 million tons after the completion.

At the same time, intelligent pportation and other projects have been put in the park. More than 10 projects, such as graphene production base, Tang Gang converter gas ethanol production, China Railway Logistics and high-speed railway maintenance equipment manufacturing, are being discussed; the park is strengthening ties with Singapore AEL Co., Ltd., Huacheng machinery manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Hangzhou Pangu Automation System Co., Ltd. and strive to achieve cooperation and development at an early date.
