Shoemaking industry is the traditional pillar industry in our city. There are more than 2000 shoe making enterprises in the city, of which two hundred and eighteen are scale enterprises.

In view of the fact that the overall product value of the shoe making industry in our city is low, the core competitiveness of the market is not strong, and the overall ability to resist market risks is weak, the Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau adopts the way of "helping, supporting, promoting and fighting", and takes three measures to enhance the core competitiveness of the footwear industry.

In terms of brand promotion, our city will support footwear enterprises to strive for all kinds of famous brand products as important measures and effective starting points for the development of service footwear industry. Based on the investigation of the footwear industry in the city and the establishment of enterprise quality archives, we should conscientiously formulate a brand cultivation plan in accordance with the principles of "upgrading a batch, creating a batch, cultivating a batch, and storing a batch", and constantly increasing the establishment of famous brand by adopting zero distance service, timely service, on-site service and reservation service.

Up to now, the footwear industry in the city has 1 Chinese famous brand products, 1 national inspection free products and 9 famous brand products in Fujian. In the first half of 2008, it recommends 10 products, 10 products, striving for national inspection free products and Fujian famous brand products.

In terms of standard guidance, our city has stepped up the pace of implementing the technical standard strategy, and actively guided and encouraged key backbone footwear enterprises to participate in the revision of the national standards and industry standards, undertake the work of the Secretariat of the National Standardization Technical Committee, and vigorously seize the high standard of technical standards.

The footwear industry of the city has participated in and undertaken the 8 national standards and 1 industry standards revision and revision of the "footwear cold proof performance test method". The Fujian footwear industry technology development (Putian) base and Putian product quality supervision and Inspection Institute are jointly applying to the national footwear Standardization Technical Committee, the footwear inspection equipment sub committee.

In terms of counterfeiting norms, our city will continue to improve its working mechanism against counterfeiting and footwear enterprises, and establish regular notification system and information exchange mechanism with key footwear enterprises, intensify efforts to crack down on counterfeiting violations, and carry out enterprise rights protection services.

At the same time, we should organize law enforcement officers to resolutely attack and further rectify and standardize the market order with regard to small scale, low technology content and no development potential, specializing in the production of counterfeit brand products and small workshops.

It is reported that in the first half of 2008, the footwear industry in Putian achieved a total production value of 10 billion 730 million yuan, ranking first in the ten largest industrial clusters in the city, and maintained a good momentum of rapid development.
