Professor Zhao Guoliang, School of materials, Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, introduced the preparatory work, current progress and product demonstration of the key technology research project of comprehensive utilization of waste textiles in the capital, Professor P, and pointed out that the key technology of the project lies in the rapid identification and sorting technology of waste textiles, the regenerated fiber manufacturing technology of waste polyester and polyester cotton and the application technology of other hybrid fabrics in the field of industrial textiles.

The project is expected to acquire key technologies and equipment such as rapid identification, semi degradation, tackling, spinning and waste cotton felt making with independent intellectual property rights, and build a demonstration and production line for recycling and reusing waste textiles in Beijing.
