The International Environmental Textile Association Announced The 2014 Edition Of The OEKO-TEX Standard?
OEKO-TEX franchise At the beginning of the year, the International Textile Association of Environmental Protection released the latest testing standard and limit value requirement of OEKO-TEX Standard 100 product certification. The new standard will come into force on April 1, 2014 after the three month transition period.
Aiming at PFOA Perfluorooctanoic acid The requirements will be tighter and the limit will not exceed:
Class I product: 50 * g/kg = 0.05 mg/kg (0.10 mg/kg before)
Class II product: 100 * g/kg = 0.10 mg/kg (0.25 mg/kg before)
Class III product: 100 * g/kg = 0.10 mg/kg (0.25 mg/kg before)
Class IV product: 500 * g/kg = 0.50 mg/kg (1 mg/kg before)
The four long chain perfluorinated compounds will be included in the detection limits. The limit value is the same as that of PFOA. The four substances are:
Perfluorooctanoic acid / perfluorooctanoic acid (CAS 2058-94-8), perfluorooctanoic acid / perfluorooctanoic acid (CAS 307-55-1), perfluorooctanoic acid / perfluoroalkanoic acid (CAS 72629-94-8), and perfluorooctanoic acid / perfluorinated fourteen acid acid (CAS 376-06-7). Eleven (CAS 307-55-1).
The reason for increasing these substances is that they have been included in the REACh SVHC list.
Through the above two measures, OEKO-TEX has expressed special support for the ZDHC Zero chemical emissions initiative, and international brands and retailers promise to achieve the goal of implementing hazardous chemicals in the production process in 2020 without being discharged into the environment.
All OEKO-TEX PFCs monitored perfluorinated compounds will be listed in a separate directory rather than in the list of other chemical residues.
The test of alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (APEOs) will include polyoxyethylene ether chain 1-20.
The limit values of nonylphenol (NP), octyl phenol (OP), total nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (NP (EO)) and total octyl phenol polyoxyethylene ether (OP (EO)) were significantly reduced in all OEKO-TEX OEKO-TEX product grades:
Total: NP + OP: 10 mg/kg (before 50 mg/kg)
Total: NP + NP (EO) 1-20 + OP + OP (EO) 1-20: 250 mg/kg (500 mg/kg before)
By reducing the limited value, OEKO-TEX is committed to completely exclude nonylphenol (NP), octyl phenol (OP) and alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (APEOs) in the textile production process. This is an effort for the entire textile industry, and is also one of the goals of ZDHC and other environmental campaigns. Through the global audit process in the OEKO-TEX certification system, all companies involved in OEKO-TEX's system have realized that these substances are harmful to the environment and cause problems.
As a supplement to the test of four chlorophenol (PCP) and pentachlorophenol (TeCP), all three chlorophenols (TrCP) will also be included in the OEKO-TEX certification test.
· Di ester It will also be included in the banned pesticides list, because some European Union countries have banned the use of the pesticide.
In the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) project, 7 new substances were added, and the limit values were given respectively, while the total limit values of the 24 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons at each product level remained unchanged. Again highlights the pioneering position of OEKO-TEX Standard 100 in textiles and accessories testing. The EU regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACh) (EU) 1272/2013 amended in December, amended by appendix XVII, will be formally implemented in December 27, 2015. The selected PAH PAHs have been included in OEKO-TEX OEKO-TEX Standard version 1002014.
For softeners, CAS 84777-06-0 will be added to the two amyl ester (branched chain and straight chain) of ortho two formic acid for completeness consideration.
In the current OEKO-TEX Standard 100, solvent residue projects have been expanded, and 1- methyl -2- pyrrolidone (NMP) will also be included. It also applies to fibers that are used for coloring before spinning. These fibers are mostly used for the production of personal protective equipment (PPE).
