However, most of the raw materials of Vietnam's clothing industry need to rely on imports, such as cotton, fiber, zipper head and so on.

< p > Asian media "intellasia" reported on January 25th. The latest data disclosed by Vietnam Customs General Administration showed that Vietnam's clothing exports totaled 17 billion 946 million US dollars in 2013, up 18.9% compared with the same period last year.

Among them, the total amount of clothing exported to the United States amounted to 8 billion 611 million US dollars, and the United States became the largest export destination for Vietnamese clothing, followed by Japan and South Korea.

< p > in European countries, the total amount of textiles imported from Vietnam is 6 billion 522 million 960 thousand US dollars.

Germany is Vietnam's largest importer of clothing and textiles in Europe, followed by Spain, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Vietnam also exports clothing and textiles to Canada, China and Taiwan, China.

Last year, Vietnam exported 282 thousand and 5 tons of yarn to China, worth 900 million 240 thousand US dollars, and Vietnam exported yarn to Turkey.

From P point of view, Vietnam imported 581 thousand and 179 tons of cotton in 2013, worth 1 billion 170 million US dollars, an increase of 33.4% over the same period of last year.

< p > Vietnam imports cotton from the United States, India, Brazil, Australia and other countries.

Vietnam also imports cotton from Pakistan, the African ivory coast, Argentina, Taiwan, Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, France, Switzerland and China.

While Vietnam's textiles are exported on a large scale, P also imports large quantities of clothing raw materials from abroad.

In 2013, Vietnam's total imports of textile fibers increased by 19.3%, amounting to US $8 billion 339 million 700 thousand, and the value of textile fibers imported from China amounted to US $3 billion 887 million.

< p > although Vietnam garment industry is thriving, < a href= "http://www.91se91.com/news/index_s.asp" > export volume < /a > increasing year by year, most of the raw materials required by Vietnam's clothing industry rely on imports, with an import ratio of 70%, such as textile fibers, labels, zippers, ropes and so on, which all need to be imported from abroad.

Vietnam textile and Apparel Federation believes that Vietnam should vigorously develop textile raw materials and accessories industry, and change the status quo of dependence on imports as soon as possible.

< p > Vietnam has made great progress in developing the manufacturing industry, especially the garment and textile industry, with its younger population < a href= "http://www.91se91.com/business/" > structural superiority < /a >.

Vietnam's low labor costs and policy preferences have attracted many overseas clothing companies to invest in Vietnam's industry.

    < /p >

    (P) Vietnam's clothing exports to the US and Europe have been rising, and continuously eroded the traditional overseas market of Chinese garment enterprises. It can be said that China's garment export industry has been challenged by Vietnam.

However, as stated in the text, Vietnam has the largest resource of cheap labor, and its raw materials such as cotton, zipper and textile fibers rely heavily on imports, which will restrict the development of Vietnam's clothing industry to a certain extent.
