New Eco Environmental Protection Standard For Textiles
< p > recently, the International Environmental Protection Textile Association (OEKO-TEX) announced the 2014 version of OEKO-TEX Standard 100 "a href=" http://www.91se91.com/news/index_q.asp "eco environmental textiles testing standard and limit value < /a >.
As in previous years, the latest standards and limit values will still have a 3 month pitional period at the beginning of the year, and will take effect on April 1, 2014.
The new standard will be more stringent for the regulation of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). Meanwhile, 4 long chain perfluorinated compounds will be added to the new standard catalogue, with the same limit as perfluorooctanoic acid.
The issuance of the new standard indicates that the international textile and environmental protection association fully supports the "zero emissions (ZDHC)" action initiated by Europe, and actively supports and assists global brands and retailers to complete the elimination of harmful chemicals in the whole production process by 2020.

< p > according to the OEKO-TEX international environmental Textile Association's official representative office in China TESTEX terstar (Beijing) Textile Inspection Co., Ltd., after the implementation of the new regulation, the content of perfluorooctanoic acid in 4 grades of textiles will not exceed the following limit values: the first level is 50 g/kg (that is, 0.05mg/kg, the 2013 edition is limited to 0.10mg/kg); the second level is 100 g/kg (i.e. 0.1mg/kg, 2013 edition limit value is 0.25mg/kg); third level is 100 g/kg (that is, 0.1mg/kg, 2013 edition limited value is 0.25mg/kg); fourth level is 500 micron (that is, the limit of g/kg version).
< /p >
< p > 4 long chain perfluorinated compounds will be added to the new standard catalogue. The limit value is the same as that of perfluorooctanoic acid.
The 4 compounds are perfluoroalkanic acid (CAS 2058-94-8), perfluoroalkanic acid (CAS 307-55-1), perfluorinated thirteen acid (CAS 72629-94-8) and perfluorinated fourteen acid (CAS 376-06-7), respectively. The above mentioned compounds are CAS, 307-55-1 and CAS.
Since the 4 compounds have been included in the REACH list of highly concerned substances list (SVHC) by the European Chemicals authority (ECHA), the international environmental textile association has immediately included it in the investigation area of hazardous substances.

In the < p > new standard, all perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) investigated by OEKO-TEX will be listed separately as a kind of material and no longer be classified as "other residual chemicals".
For alkyl phenol ethoxylate (APEOs), the test will extend to ethoxylate chain (1-20).
The contents of nonylphenol (NP), octyl phenol (OP), nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (NP (EO)) and octyl phenol polyoxyethylene ether (OP (EO)) will be stricter in all product grades: nonylphenol (NP) and octyl phenol (OP) are less than 10mg/kg (OP 2013), and nonylphenol (NP), nonylphenol polyoxyethylene (1-20), octyl phenol (octyl phenol) and octyl phenol polyoxyethylene ether (1-20) are less than 2013.
< /p >
< p > by reducing the limited value, the international environmental protection < a href= "http://www.91se91.com/news/index_c.asp" > textile > /a > has taken action to eliminate the nonylphenol (NP), octylphenol (OP) and alkylphenol ethoxylate (APEO) in textile production, which has become a positive action for the whole industry to promote "zero emissions of harmful chemicals (ZDHC)".
OEKO-TEX's important component of the certification of the international environmental textile association and the implementation of the global uniform on-site audit will also promote all enterprises involved in OEKO-TEX certification to raise awareness of the harmful substances in the environment, and constantly reduce or even eliminate the use of such chemicals.
< /p >
< p > as an extension of pentachlorophenol (PCP) and four chlorophenol (TeCP), OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification will increase the investigation of three chlorophenol (TrCP).
The pesticide can be listed as a banned pesticide list. Some European Union countries have banned this substance.
In addition, in the investigated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), 7 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons were individually prescribed clear limits.
The total content limit of 24 PAHs remained unchanged at all product levels.
< /p >
< p > the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have been listed in Annex XVII of the European Union's REACH code, which was promulgated in December last year and will be implemented in December 27, 2015. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is about to launch the monitoring of PAHs in the 2014 edition standard, reflecting the leading position of OEKO-TEX Standard 100 in the field of textile and accessories testing.
< /p >
< p > plasticizer, two phthalate two of the chemical CAS number 84777-06-0 will be added to the inspection substance (branched chain and straight chain) to make the inspection item more complete.
< /p >
< p > the requirement for the limit of 3% of the residual solvents investigated in specific products will be extended to 1- methyl -2- pyrrolidone (NMP) substances. The exceptional extension is only applicable to the dyed fibers in the spinning raw liquid of the personal protective products (PPE).
< /p >
< p > it is learnt that the ISPO BEIJING Asian sporting goods and fashion show, which will be held in late February, will enhance the promotion of the new version of the TESTEX standard.
At the TESTEX annual meeting of enterprises in Beijing in from March 27th to 28th, the company invited the Secretary General of the international environmental protection textile association to interpret the latest changes in the new standard and its impact on enterprises, help enterprises fully understand the new standards, solve practical problems in certification and production, and provide inter enterprise < a href= "http://www.91se91.com/news/index_s.asp" > communication platform < /a >.
