Vietnam'S Exports To The US Are Expected To Shrink In 2009.

Vietnam's Ministry of industry and Commerce (MoIT) predicted that Vietnam's exports to the US in 2009 had only increased by 14%, and the growth rate was lower than that in 2008.

Vietnam's exports to the United States constitute 21% of Vietnam's total exports.

According to trade experts, the US trade protection policy is the main obstacle to Vietnam's exports.

The difficulties faced by exporters may be exacerbated by the global economic crisis and the decline in US demand.

Although faced with many difficulties, Vietnam still has many opportunities to export to the US in 2009.

For example, recently, the US Department of Commerce announced that no evidence was found in anti-dumping investigations against Vietnam, which allowed Vietnam textile and apparel industry to see the US market open to them.

The United States agricultural animal and plant inspection agency has also approved the US import of Vietnamese fresh fruit in large quantities, paving the way for Vietnam to expand its market share.

Le Quoc Hung, Consul General of Vietnam, said that Vietnamese enterprises should establish close close cooperation with American wholesalers in order to develop the US market in depth.

According to the MoIT report, Vietnam's exports to the United States in 2008 amounted to US $12 billion 200 million, an increase of 19% over 2007, of which the export volume of textiles and clothing to the United States amounted to US $5 billion 200 million.
