In the global economic crisis and the severe foreign trade situation, the number of footwear exports and foreign exchange earnings in Zhenjiang increased.

Zhenjiang export footwear varieties are relatively complete, covering almost all varieties.

But export Technology shoes, sheep cut shoes, sports shoes and leather shoes are the main products. Most of the Zhenjiang shoes are exported to the United States, Japan, France, South Korea, Chile, Australia and other countries and regions.

Although the production of shoes is relatively simple and the process is not complicated, the requirements for the safety, environmental protection and hygiene of footwear products in the international market are constantly improving. Especially, the EU members have restricted the use of harmful azo dyes, which has brought a new test to the footwear export enterprises.

Zhenjiang inspection and Quarantine Bureau will guide enterprises to take positive measures to strengthen inspection and supervision, inspect and control the raw and auxiliary materials and production processes, and control the quality of products from the source.

Samples of footwear exported to the EU were tested with azo dyes to ensure that Zhenjiang shoes exported to the EU meet the requirements.
