Maca: cotton production reached 6 million 600 thousand tons in India last year. We believe that cotton output in India will reach 6 million 700 thousand tons in the new year.

China's imported yarn is not subject to government quota control, which makes India's exports of cotton to China increase substantially, thus promoting India's domestic consumption demand for cotton.

Although international cotton prices are at a low level, cotton prices in India are relatively strong due to growing domestic cotton consumption demand in India.

Cotton prices in India are expected to remain stable in the future and likely to rise slightly.

The price of cotton in India is still changing according to the price of the international cotton market. However, the price of cotton in India's domestic market is becoming one of the factors affecting the international cotton price. And the international market will also slowly refer to the cotton price in India.

Reporter: how do you see the future of India cotton in the Chinese market?

Maca: in recent years, India cotton has been increasingly popular in China for its low competitive price and excellent quality. Its import volume has also increased year by year, thus partly replacing the imported cotton from other countries.

The appearance of India cotton has provided more options for China's cotton textile enterprises to purchase internationally. Low price has reduced the cost of China's cotton textile enterprises and improved the competitiveness of China's cotton textile products in the international market.

After a large number of low-priced India cotton entered China, after several years of running in, the Chinese spinning mills gradually understood the quality and characteristics of India cotton, and mastered the methods of use. The advantages of India cotton's strong spinnability were highlighted.

At present, India cotton has accounted for 1/3 of China's cotton imports, and its internal quality is accepted by most textile factories in China.

Interviewer: what do you think is the main advantage of India cotton?

Maca: first of all, the shipping time of India cotton to China is relatively short, which shortens the purchasing cycle accordingly.

As long as we can ship India cotton to China according to the fashion ship, it only takes 15~25 days.

Second, the quality of cotton in India has been improving in recent years.

India is committed to introducing good cotton varieties. Now the proportion of fine cotton varieties reaches over 90%, which makes the efficiency of India cotton growing continuously and the yield per unit of cotton in India is also increasing rapidly.

Reporter: according to the spinning enterprises, the quality of cotton in India is quite different. As the world's largest professional supplier of cotton in India, how does the company deal with this problem?
