Xu Yingxin, vice president of the textile industry branch of the China Council for international trade promotion, told Xinhua 18 days ago that the spread of the financial turmoil made the consumption demand of the textile market in Europe and the United States turn to a more substantial and cheap Chinese product. The survey of China Textile Industry Association shows that the output and consumption of household textiles in China account for about 23% of the total textile industry, while the proportion in Japan and the United States has reached 1/3.
"This directly reflects that China's home textile market still has a lot of room for expansion, and the market has potential for development."
Xu Yingxin said that the consumption of household textiles accounts for only 20% of the total consumption of the rural population, accounting for 70% of the total population of China. The increasing market demand of the rural population will promote the long-term development of China's home textiles market.
Although the impact of the financial crisis has made textile enterprises' market confidence generally inadequate, some far sighted home textile enterprises have already targeted the domestic demand market and begun to actively adjust the market strategy.
The famous household textile enterprises, such as dinosaurs, BABEI, fuanna, Meng LAN, Ya Fang Ting, Huarun, VICCO and so on, said they would regard the China home textile exhibition as the first choice to open up the market and strive to enhance their brand value at this year's exhibition.
Mr. Xu said that as Asia's most influential and influential home textile exhibition, more exhibitors from overseas exhibitors should be invited. This year, the scale of the overseas exhibition area of the China Textile Exhibition will also be expanded. Meanwhile, overseas buyers will also show great concern to the China home textile exhibition and the Chinese market.
