    The Eternal Focus Of Home Textile Design: Individuality And Public

    Zhang Baohua, associate professor of art and Design Department of dyeing and weaving, Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University, delivered a brilliant speech on the theme of "personalized embodiment in home textile design" at the forum in March 8, 2009. After the lecture, Mr. Zhang was surrounded by many people and asked questions about design. Personality design and market always run in, individuality often represents small group, and the market needs the approval of the masses. How to measure the two, Zhang's view is that the market is diverse and diverse, and many designs are easy to follow suit. We should let go of our thinking, explore the blank space, dig out the minority personalities and find suitable positioning in the market to expand into the public. Especially in today's rapid development of science and technology, knowledge sharing, information sharing, and the world becoming smaller and smaller, it is more important to maintain national characteristics and traditional culture. Mr. Zhang concluded that the pursuit of individuality and public appeal will always be the focus of designers' attention. The designer must make a steady progress by anticipating what the design is or how to design, and create a personal view, a unique personality and style, and pay close attention to the present, understand the past and focus on the future.
