Android Smart Glasses ODG R-7: Use No Need To Connect Cell Phone.

According to reports from foreign media, a company called Osterhout Design Group recently launched a 3D stereo called ODG R-7.

The difference between Cardboard and Samsung Gear VR head mounted virtual reality display is that ODG R-7 does not need to be used in conjunction with smart phones, and the volume is relatively small.

In terms of hardware, ODG R-7 is equipped with the main frequency up to 2.7GHz, Qualcomm Xiaolong 8084 quad core processor and 4GB RAM, and the fuselage storage capacity is between 16-128GB.

In terms of software, ODG R-7 runs Reticle OS operating system based on Android 4.4 KitKat, and optimizes the system architecture according to the requirements of head mounted devices.

The screen resolution of ODG R-7 is 1280 x 720, which refreshes up to 100 frames per second, and because of the plucent design, the user's line of sight will not be completely blocked when worn.

And by launching the Vuforia SDK developer kit at the same time, developers can call the data of three accelerometers, three gyroscopes, three magnetometers, pressure gauges and hygrometers carried by ODG R-7, and apply them to the development of games and software.

The mirror leg part of ODG R-7 also supports disassembly, with built-in OTG support.

At the same time, the nose can also be adjusted according to different facial shapes.

In addition, ODG R-7 is equipped with a magnetic stereo audio output interface to support earplugs and a dismantling discolourable lens.

The ODG R-7 above the nose clip also carries a 720p camera that supports auto focus, which works with virtual reality applications, while 1400mAh's lithium battery also guarantees a certain duration.
