India Textile Industry Will Build 13 Textile Parks
Gangwall, Minister of state of the Ministry of textiles in India, said that the export volume of textiles in India in the current fiscal year is expected to reach US $50 billion, and India textiles have great potential. The government will give full support to expanding exports so as to promote the development of the industry.
Insiders said that India textile exports after a long period of weakness, the current situation is gratifying, the 3~5 will grow rapidly in the future, the output value of the garment industry in India is about 2 trillion rupees (1 rupees, or about 0.016 dollars), and is expected to double in the next 5 years.
India textile industry has
The labor
Low cost, raw materials diversification, traditional design technology and huge domestic market advantages.
According to a study by the United States International Trade Commission, India is the second largest producer of textiles and clothing in the world. It is the only country capable of competing with China in the textile industry.
Invest 13 billion rupees to build 13.
Textile Garden
Earlier, Gangwall said that India textile ministry hopes to establish 25~30 textile parks and a number of industrial clusters to promote the development of the textile industry.
Recently, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of textile industry of India, said that the India government put forward a new textile policy. At present, the Department has approved the construction of 13 textile parks in India.
"We expect to invest at least 1 billion rupees per textile park. In addition, the Ministry of textiles will provide a financial subsidy of 400 million rupees to each textile garden".
After the establishment of the park, it is expected that each textile garden can create 2500~3000 new employment opportunities. The textile industry can become the second largest employment industry in India after agriculture.
Gangwar said the Ministry of textile industry will hold a meeting to discuss the details of investment in India's textile industry development policy.
The government has put forward a new textile development policy aimed at increasing the global market share of India textiles from 4% to 12% over the next 10 years.
India's current national textile industry development policy was formulated in 2000, and the textile industry in India has undergone some changes since the implementation of the policy.
The new textile policy will continue to focus on providing adequate skilled labour for the textile industry, labour reform, attracting investment in the textile industry, and promoting the development of the textile and garment industry.
The new policy also includes providing world-class infrastructure for textile industrial parks, promoting the modernization of power looms and hand looms, promoting the ecological development of India's textile industry, and providing standards for the credit assessment of India's textile industry.
Build facilities Center Development
Textile machinery industry
The India cabinet Economic Affairs Committee (CCEA) adopted a plan entitled "enhancing the competitiveness of India's means of production", which aims to promote the economic development of India and enhance the competitiveness of India's means of production globally. The plan mainly covers the development of India textile machinery, machine tools, construction and mining machinery.
The plan is expected to invest 9 billion 300 million rupees. In addition to building a conventional industrial facility center, it will also focus on technological processing of production materials.
The plan will be achieved through 5 steps, one of which is to promote the development and construction of the "general engineering facilities center" for the development of the India textile industry. After the completion of the center, it will fully invest in the work of the local textile industry and the textile industry association to provide convenience infrastructure for the enterprises.
The center will build foundries, provide common heat treatment processes, testing laboratories, design centers, prototype research centers, and some conventional and special textile machinery.
The facility center will meet the needs of India textile machinery manufacturers and other capital goods manufacturers to produce goods, help them improve their capacity utilization and reduce their production costs.
Encourage silkworm breeding to improve silk competitiveness
The textile industry in India has a long history, and the spinning, weaving and dyeing industry has a good foundation for development. Besides, India also attaches great importance to the development of the silk industry.
India textile minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar recently proposed the increase of silkworm breeding in India rural women to promote the development of the silk industry in India in India's commendation Conference on sericulture women.
The Ministry of textiles of India has commended 54 sericultural women workers from 27 states in India. They have achieved remarkable results in promoting silkworm production and improving the productivity of silkworm rearing.
Gangwar said that all efforts should be made to make India the leading silk producer in the world. "Now it is time to produce high quality silk and make India silk a real world-class quality silk," he said.
India textile department will also provide technical guidance for enterprises to produce high quality silk.
In recent years, the demand for quality silk in India has increased, and the added value of silk in the export market has been increasing. Therefore, India textile department and sericulture department are providing financial support for improving the production of silk.
India is the second largest silk producer in the world. In 2013~2014, India's silk production was 26480 tons, an increase of 11% over the same period last year.
In 2014~2015, India planned to produce 28500 tons of silk.
The next 3~4 will compete for global cotton supply.
India's "economic times" pointed out that as India cotton continues to cut production, as the world's second largest exporter of cotton, India will be pformed into a cotton importing country in 3~4, which will force India textile enterprises to compete with the world's largest cotton importer China for global cotton supply.
The United States and Australia and other major cotton growers in the world use machine picking, cotton is very dense, and India cotton land has reserved a lot of space for artificial picking. Therefore, although the planting area of India has been expanding, the output of cotton has dropped to about 475 kg per hectare, which is 38% lower than the average yield of the whole ball.
The reasons for the decrease in cotton planting area in India are not only the limitation of cultivated land and the fluctuation of weather and price, but also the government's request for cotton growers to grow grain in order to curb the soaring grain prices.
Cohan DeVoe, chief financial officer of India textile supplier, AI LAN Industrial Co., Ltd., said that the situation of India's cotton surplus will disappear in the middle of 3~4. Textile mills will have to import cotton at high price or choose synthetic fibers. This situation will force India to compete with its neighboring countries in China to compete for international cotton supply. Sunil Khandelwal said that
Cohan DeVoe said: "we are already competing with other Chinese enterprises for other international resources. In the near future, we may have to compete with them for cotton supply."
