General Situation Of Import And Export Of Silk Commodities In August 2014

In 1-8 months, the total export of Chinese silk products was 2 billion 75 million US dollars, down 14.03% from the same period last year.

Among them, silk exports amounted to 418 million US dollars, down 7.81% compared to the same period last year; silk silk exports were 611 million US dollars, down 3.54% compared with the same period last year; silk products exports were US $1 billion 45 million, down 21.17% compared to the same period last year.

The top five export markets were: the United States (371 million US dollars, down 6.68%), India (199 million US dollars, down 10.75%), Italy (198 million US dollars, down 3.56% last year), Japan (160 million US dollars, down 23.42% last year), Pakistan (143 million US dollars, year-on-year growth 2.46%), and the total market share of China's total silk exports.

The top five provinces and cities ranked as follows: Zhejiang (836 million US dollars, down 4.41%), Jiangsu (269 million US dollars, down 16.24% last year), Guangdong (218 million US dollars, down 6.55% last year), Shanghai (175 million US dollars, down 5.93% last year), Sichuan (130 million US dollars, year-on-year decrease 11.31%), total exports accounted for the proportion of China's total silk exports.

August, China

Silk exports amounted to $260 million, down 11.23% from the same period last year, a slight increase from last month.

Among them, silk exports amounted to 50 million 830 thousand and 300 US dollars, down 14.98% compared to the same period last year; silk silk exports were 76 million 692 thousand and 200 US dollars, down 4.61% compared with the same period last year; silk products exports were US $133 million, down 13.25% compared to the same period last year.

Imports of cotton yarn declined in August of this year.

According to customs statistics, in August this year, China imported about 150 thousand tons of cotton yarn, a decrease of 3.5% compared to the same period, a decrease of 26% over the same period last year.

In the same month, the export volume of cotton cloth in China was 751 million 409 thousand meters, an increase of 10.94% compared to the same month, a slight increase of 0.76% over the same period.

In 2013/2014 (2013.9~2014.8), China imported 695 million 385 thousand and 900 tons of cotton cloth, a decrease of 15.89% compared with the same period last year, and 8 billion 425 million 32 thousand tons of cotton cloth exported, a decrease of 5.52% compared with the same period last year.

In the first 8 months of 2014, China imported 442 million 310 thousand and 700 tons of cotton cloth, a decrease of 17.64% over the same period last year, and a total of 5 billion 430 million 438 thousand cotton exports, down 11.36% from the same period last year.

Overview of China's home textile exports in 1-8 2014

In the 1-8 month of 2014, domestic textile exports continued to grow steadily, and the total export volume reached 18 billion 20 million US dollars, an increase of 5.6%.

Among them, bedding, blankets, towels, carpets and curtains were the main export products. The export volume was 7 billion 580 million, 2 billion 340 million, 1 billion 910 million, 1 billion 710 million and 1 billion 660 million respectively. In addition to 8.8% of towel products exports, other categories of products exports continued to grow steadily, with an increase of 4.8%, 24.8%, 6.6% and 9.2% respectively.

First, the growth of Europe is faster, the US is basically flat, and Japan continues to decline.

In 1-8 months, home textile exports to the European Union increased rapidly, with an export volume of US $3 billion 40 million, an increase of 12.2%, accounting for 16.9% of total exports.

Exports to the US were basically the same as that of the same period last year, with an export volume of US $4 billion 410 million, a slight increase of 1.61.3%, accounting for 24.5% of total exports.

Exports to Japan continued to decline, with exports of US $1 billion 900 million, down 3.1%, accounting for 10.6% of total exports.

In other major countries, home textiles exports to India and Thailand grew faster, with exports of 360 million and 300 million US dollars, respectively, increasing by 52.5% and 56.9% respectively.

Two, exports of major provinces and cities have maintained growth, of which Guangdong has increased rapidly.

Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shanghai ranked the top four in the domestic textile export provinces and cities, and their exports continued to grow steadily, with an increase of 4.6%, 9.4%, 5.1% and 3.9% respectively. Guangdong ranked fifth, and exports maintained a relatively fast growth rate of 21.1%.

In addition, the export of Xinjiang's border trade declined significantly, with a drop of 22.5%. Exports from Tianjin, Jiangxi and Chongqing provinces grew faster and increased by more than 20%.
