Guangdong Cracked A High Imitation Package Case: Value 1 Billion Yuan With Genuine Certificate

Guangzhou police cracked a criminal network that produced and sold Louis Weedon's counterfeit products, and seized counterfeit products with potential market value of about 1 billion yuan.
The Hongkong website published the 19 issue of the September issue entitled "Guangzhou police disclosed the cracked group of counterfeit packages worth 1 billion yuan".
It is reported that the quality of these fake bags is so high that only trained personnel can tell the true and false.
These products are sold to high-end shopping centers in the mainland and sold overseas through websites.
In order to deceive customers, the counterfeit products sold are also accompanied by genuine certificates and invoices.
Guangzhou police said they cracked the gang in June this year, when they arrested 14 suspects and destroyed 6 underground workshops run by the gang.
The police confiscated over 1.1 Louis Weedon bags and a large number of unfinished Louis Weedon brand leather products.
If the stolen goods are made and sold as genuine goods in the market, their value can reach about 1 billion yuan.

27 machines and 30 million Louis Vuitton trademarks were also found.
The criminals even launched a fake Louis Weedon official website to sell products to overseas consumers.
According to the police, factories producing fake and luxurious leather products are distributed in Baiyun and Huadu District two of Guangzhou and near Dongguan.
A person who once worked in fake package production said he used to be a luxury brand VIP customer, so he could buy it from stores before the goods arrived.
He will buy genuine packages, then dismantle them, and hand them to leather factories to reproduce them, then use the cost much lower than genuine products to assemble fake goods.
According to the China luxury report released by the Institute of wealth research, China Luxury Market Research Institute, mainland consumers bought $74 billion overseas last year.

The report also said that a large number of fake goods have made the luxury goods popular and the attractiveness of consumers.
