Xinjiang Akesu Fiber Inspection Institute Promotes Cotton Target Price Reform Pilot Work

During the eleven period, the administrative law enforcement personnel of the fiber inspection institute in Akesu autonomous region of Xinjiang autonomous region were divided into two groups to carry out the pilot work of cotton target price reform in the jurisdiction area.

A total of 285 people were dispatched for this operation, and ten days of publicity and inspection were carried out for 95 cotton processing enterprises in Akesu, Wensu and Awati counties.

Because of the Cotton Subsidy Policy in Akesu this year, the cotton price situation is still uncertain, and farmers and cotton processing enterprises are on the sidelines.

Cotton farmers are not clear about how to distribute subsidies and the price of cotton in different counties is not consistent. The enthusiasm of selling cotton is not high, cotton picking is mostly placed in the field; preparations for acquisition and processing enterprises of cotton are all ready, because some counties and cities restrict the sale of cotton in the region, the amount of purchase is small, and because of the large fluctuation of domestic lint market, most enterprises have not released the purchase.

Affected by gas, the defoliation and bolting effect of cotton in Northern Xinjiang of Xinjiang is not ideal, which hinders the harvesting of machine harvested cotton.

A person in charge of five divisions of the Xinjiang production and Construction Corps said that cotton output was basically not affected, and is expected to remain at around 100 thousand tons, unchanged from last year.

However, considering the weather factors, the length and micron value of cotton in Northern Xinjiang will be affected this year, and the quality will decrease to some extent.

The responsible person said that in April this year, the northern Xinjiang encountered climate disasters. The regiment made timely replanting, and the maturity uniformity of cotton was poor, plus late Yin.

With the influence of air and cold current, cotton picking period has been repeatedly delayed. Cotton enterprises in previous years can basically finish seed cotton at the end of December.

This year is expected to be completed by the end of November. At the end of January, cotton enterprises completed the processing of seed cotton, which was more than 20 days longer than in previous years.
