This speech is made by Wang Tiankai, President of China Textile Industry Federation and President of China Fashion Association at the "2014 China Fashion Convention", according to the shorthand manuscript.
I
very
I am delighted to attend the 2014 China fashion conference and the high-end forum of Xinjiang garment industry development.
The Chinese clothing conference is the annual event of the clothing industry review, communication, hot spot and coordinated development.
This year's clothing conference held in Xinjiang is more significant and far-reaching. On the one hand, the conference is held under the new normal situation of China's economy. How to correctly understand the situation of the industry and form a consensus on development is important and urgent.
On the other hand, the textile and garment industry actively implements the spirit of the second central Xinjiang work forum, speeds up the development of the textile and garment industry, and promotes social stability and long-term stability in Xinjiang. At the same time, the development of the industry needs us to discuss more pragmatically and effectively.
current
China
Economic development is still in an important period of strategic opportunities. At the same time, it is also facing the difficulties of slowing economic growth, heavy task of digesting surplus capacity and insufficient endogenous motivation.
Especially in the three stages of the pition period, the pition period and the policy digestion period, the difficulty of macro-control is further increased, and the situation is more complicated.
In the first half of this year, China's textile and garment industry was affected by the situation at home and abroad, and the factors such as the weakening of market demand, the increase of comprehensive cost, and the large difference in cotton price between inside and outside, etc., but in general, achieved stable operation, and the pformation and upgrading of textile and garment industry continued to advance steadily.
From January to July this year, China's garment enterprises above Designated Size completed 16 billion 676 million garment production, an increase of 3.93% over the same period last year, an increase of 4.22 percentage points over the same period in 2013.
Overall production remained stable and the overall market size continued to expand, but demand remained weak.
Speed up
Slowing down.
Clothing retail sales totaled 476 billion 600 million yuan, an increase of 10.3% over the same period last year, down 1.5 percentage points from the same period last year.
The overall export of clothing is low, but it is getting warmer.
According to customs statistics, from January to July this year, China's clothing exports totaled 100 billion 233 million US dollars, an increase of 5.79% over the same period last year, down 7.7 percentage points from the same period last year.
The number of garment exports was 18 billion 463 million, an increase of 6.75% over the same period last year, down 1.21 percentage points from the same period last year.
In terms of efficiency, in the first half of this year, 15049 garment enterprises above Designated Size reached 1 trillion and 112 billion 197 million yuan in total business revenue, up 9.89% from the same period last year, with a total profit of 58 billion 687 million yuan, an increase of 14.2% over the same period last year.
Sales profit margin was 5.28%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points over the same period last year, and the overall efficiency was stable.
At present, it is generally believed that China's economic development is facing a new normal. In this situation, the textile and garment industry has also shown a new normal. The growth rate has entered the shift period, and from the high-speed growth period to the moderate speed pition period.
It should be noted that this is not the downside of the economic cycle, but the fundamental pformation process of the economic growth stage.
Under the new normal, not only is the slowdown of economic growth, but also the pformation of growth power and the rebalance of economic structure.
Faced with complex system pformation, it also means that pformation and innovation have entered a completely new stage.
At present, how to follow the concept of economic development, profoundly understand the new trend, take the initiative to deepen the new changes, seize the new opportunities actively, seek new balance points in steady growth and structural adjustment, select the breakthrough point of reform, firmly grasp the initiative, and realize the long-term and steady growth of the new normal, are particularly important.
In the face of the new normal, textile and garment enterprises must return to the fundamentals and do well in enterprises.
And a profound understanding of the current and future changes in consumer market, consumer demand and consumption patterns is particularly important.
At present, more attention should be paid to China's huge demand for clothing consumption in the future. However, China's regional economic differences, changes in consumption age structure, and future consumption demand and consumption patterns are changing faster and faster. It is the key to return to the enterprises themselves, accurately grasp demand, scientifically grasp their own positioning, and give full play to their core competitiveness.
At the same time, we must do well the basic work of R & D, design, product management and so on. Under the new normal situation, the competition of scale and homogenization can only bring disasters.
Facing the new normal, the development of textile and garment enterprises should emphasize multiple integration.
In the face of the rapid development of Internet technology, network platform, big data, mobile payment and other information technology and rapid response to high-end customization, new lifestyle marketing and other diversified integration in the field of clothing industry has promoted and influenced the industry.
Especially clothing e-commerce online consumption, the annual growth rate of 30%-40%.
The diversified integration of the garment industry is also reflected in the coexistence and communication between different industrial areas, different cultural backgrounds, different design networks, different brand positioning, different supply chain modes, and different sales formats, so as to bring about a hundred flowers bloom with distinctive advantages and functions to meet the needs of different consumer groups and consumption demands.
In the diversified integration of garment enterprises, we should also pay close attention to the integration of their own brand enterprises and processing enterprises, compare with some international brand enterprises in the domestic market, find out the gaps, and form new advantages of their own cooperation and competition in the deep integration.
Facing the new normal, garment enterprises should grasp the general trend and focus on the long term.
With the shift of the global economic center, the new consumer groups and the new consumer market will inevitably take shape. At the same time, it will bring about a series of changes in the distribution of productive forces. In order to solve all kinds of contradictions, enterprises should also focus on shaping the core competitiveness of the medium and long term, including their own future goals, the efficiency of resource allocation, and the promotion of mergers and reorganization.
This year's China clothing Convention held in Xinjiang has a more far-reaching significance and influence.
The second central Xinjiang work forum pointed out that maintaining social stability and achieving long-term stability in Xinjiang are the focus and focus of Xinjiang's work.
We must promote employment as a permanent cure for social stability and long-term stability, and solve the employment problem of all ethnic groups, especially the employment of all ethnic groups in southern Xinjiang.
The central government and the Xinjiang autonomous region have promulgated a series of unprecedented policies and measures for the development of the textile and garment industry.
Xinjiang is the largest cotton production base in the country, accounting for 60% of the country's total output. The textile and garment industry is not only a traditional industry in Xinjiang, but also the most prominent industry in Xinjiang, where its natural resources are good, its industrial foundation is strong, its growth space is large, its derivative chain is long, and its labour intensive features are most prominent.
To develop textile and garment industry in Xinjiang, we must see that future regional development will become an important support for the long-term sustainable development of China's economy.
The textile and garment industry should build the biggest room for economic development in the development of the western region.
In particular, Xinjiang is a key area for the construction of the "Silk Road Economic Belt", and the construction of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" has become a major part of the national "one belt and one road" strategy.
Through the construction of the "Silk Road Economic Belt", we will surely promote economic development, deepen mutual cooperation and expand space.
The total population of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" is nearly 3 billion, the market size and potential are unique, and there is great potential for cooperation in trade and investment.
In this regard, it is hopeful that consensus can be achieved through all parties' efforts to improve the speed and quality of regional economic development and achieve mutual benefit.
To develop the textile and garment industry in Xinjiang, we must fully protect and give full play to the resource advantages of cotton. We should focus on the development and implementation of the textile terminal industry, such as the development of clothing.
We should fully summarize and give full play to the construction of advantageous enterprises in Xinjiang, pfer capital, and pfer experience in technology, talent, management and market, so as to promote the training of talents as the most important basic work.
To develop textile industry in Xinjiang, we should carry out a discussion on the diversified development models of large, medium and small enterprises suitable for local realities. The mainland garment enterprises should pay close attention to and actively participate in the construction of Xinjiang textile and garment industry with a high degree of enthusiasm and scientific attitude.
While promoting social stability and economic development in Xinjiang, we should speed up and promote our own new development.
At present, it is a critical period for the development of China's textile and garment industry. In the late 12th Five-Year, "13th Five-Year" is coming. The industry is faced with many new opportunities and challenges.
As we adapt ourselves to the new normal, we should see that China is already the most complete and largest industry in the global textile and garment industry system. It is also the country with the largest demand for raw materials, equipment, technology and talents, and the largest potential market in the terminal market.
We have reason to realize the dream of textile power with full confidence, tolerance and pluralistic integration to meet the new development of China's textile and garment industry.
