Beijing Bureau of industry and Commerce has carried out special rectification on the quality of clothing in the circulation field, focusing on children's clothing, underwear and other key varieties, and carrying out comprehensive law enforcement inspection on the main body of clothing sales, focusing on shopping malls, supermarkets, markets and wholesale markets, conducting administrative guidance to operators, strictly prohibit the sale of unqualified clothing commodities, and handling related complaints and reports in a timely manner.

Judging from the passing rate of the supervision and spot check of textile garments by various agencies, the Quality Supervision Bureau of Beijing city is 95.7% (it only calculates the inspection batch and qualified rate of the sample nominal production enterprises for Beijing), 72.14% of the Beijing Bureau of industry and Commerce (the total inspection batch and the overall pass rate of all the samples) and the Beijing Consumer Association 49.62% (the total inspection batch and the overall pass rate of all the samples).

Last year, 12365 complaints and reports of Beijing Quality Supervision Bureau received 27 complaints of clothing and textiles, accounting for fifth of product complaints. The main problems were concentrated on seam strength, fiber content, counterfeit and shoddy and wear-resistant properties.

From the point of view of quality supervision, children's clothing is the main product of textile and clothing products recalled by foreign countries, mostly due to the use of small parts such as rope, jewelry and other safety hazards in children's clothing.

The Beijing garment and textile industry association has launched a series of quality promotion activities in Beijing, and commissioned quality inspection institutions to inspect the samples for quality inspection of superior products.

According to the analysis of the report, the quality and safety of garment and textile products and the integrity of the enterprises in Beijing were good in 2013, but there are still some problems, such as the quality of raw materials and the control of the processing flow.

The report recommends that when purchasing goods, consumers should ask operators to provide inspection reports for goods so as to better protect their rights and interests, and keep good shopping receipts and other documents, so as to maintain their legitimate rights and interests in the event of consumer disputes.
