Notices posted on the door "Chinese not allowed to enter (except employees") have been heated for a while. Although the staff of the clothing store explained that they were trying to prevent Chinese counterparts from plagiarism, the business was undoubtedly suspected of discriminating against consumers.

Recently, some people have called our hotline to reflect that notices of "Chinese people must not enter" are posted by businesses near Ya Po Road, Chaoyang District.

In response, the shop assistant said the reason for posting the notice was because he had only done business in the foreign trade and did not want his Chinese counterparts to enter the shop to make the payment.

Legal experts believe that the move is suspected of discriminating against consumers.

Yesterday afternoon, the reporter came to the vicinity of Ya Po Road.

At the door of the shop, the reporter saw a notice posted on the door of the shop saying "Chinese can not enter (except employees)".

The Beiqing newspaper reporter then entered the clothing store in the name of ordinary consumers. Just when he entered the shop, the clerk told reporters they did not carry out domestic sales.

The reporter then said that he did not come to buy clothes, but he saw the notice on the doorway affixed with "Chinese people must not enter".

The clerk explained that they posted the notice because they only did business in the foreign trade and did not want their Chinese counterparts to enter the shop to make the payment.

Another clothing store staff explained that preventing peer copying is not the main reason. The reason for this notice is that "some Chinese customers are too much."

The employee said that the notice posted on the door had been posted for about a week, because the foreign customer had stolen the wallet from a Chinese customer in the shop during the shop purchase.

Although the store actively cooperate with the owner's investigation, it also took in the surveillance video, but the foreign customers always thought the store was in partnership with the pickpocket and asked the shop keeper to compensate himself for the loss of 5000 dollars.

In addition, on weekdays, many Chinese women customers try to wear a lot of clothes, but they do not buy them at last. They also complain to the shop assistants when they return their clothes.

Shopkeepers think they have limited manpower, so it is hard to divide their energies to take account of the retail business.

The employee repeatedly told reporters: "we do not want to paste this notice, let others feel that they despise themselves, but some Chinese customers are too much."

Beiqing newspaper reporter found that this is not the first time that ya Po Road has said "no" to the Chinese people.

As early as in 2003, there were media reports that some merchants of Ya Bao road refused to enter the country, and the Chinese merchants wrote "declined to visit" on the curtain.

At that time, the explanation given by the merchants said that the move was not because of discrimination against the Chinese people, but rather to prevent colleagues from obtaining business intelligence.

In the meantime, there was even a fight between customers and customers because they refused to enter Chinese consumers.

Li Xiandong, a professor at China University of Political Science and Law, believes that such behavior can be understood if these businesses are refusing to enter the market on the grounds of not retailing and fear of peer entry.

They have the right to choose their own business models, and they can not sell goods to consumers on the grounds that they do not sell foreign trade, but the slogan "Chinese prohibits entry" is a bit radical, and they are suspected of discriminating against the Chinese people.

"If Chinese people are forbidden to enter, are these salesmen Chinese? Why can they enter? Although legally speaking, these businesses may not be illegal, but this is not appropriate from a cultural perspective."
