In February 1964, a large truck carrying a tent carried the entire creative group to Hainan and went to the Qionghai women's army to listen to the old soldiers telling about the past.

In listening, Li Chengxiang understood the reason why Qiong Dao had such a company and learned a lot of creative nourishment.

During the day, interviews, observations, drafts in my mind, and at night, the whole creative group gathered around to discuss the script.

The experience of Hainan has become the source of inspiration for Li Chengxiang.

Li Chengxiang's idea is to combine western ballet with Chinese classical dance and folk dance to create a ballet with Chinese national characteristics.

But can Ballet of the West really land on the soil of China? Li Chengxiang has some worries.

"Westerners are essentially different from Chinese in terms of temperament and culture. We need to work hard in this field."

Li Chengxiang said that it was very difficult to play the prince, swan and princess as a warrior. "I think this time we can't play like this. We can't make Qionghua look like a princess."

After going deep into life in Hainan, actors went to military training in Datong military base in Shanxi.

"When I did this program, I never thought how it could be played for fifty years."

Jiang Zuhui said that in 1964, she was driving a truck on the dirt road in Hainan, where the girls in Hainan were jumping on their load.

At that time, there were still few visitors to the two big stone sides of Tianyu Jiao Jiao in Sanya. Jiang Zuhui picked up shells along the beach.

50 years ago, her feelings about the hot soil in Hainan and the story of her listening to the red lady soldiers were too important.

Those feelings and stories later appeared in the ballet, the Red Detachment of women.

Coconut trees are crooked, which is inspired by Jiang Zuhui's experience of life in Hainan.

Jiang Zuhui recalls.

Jiang Zuhui recalls that when she was in an interview with the creative group in Qionghai, a detachment of women soldiers told them that she was very excited when she was running away, but later she was arrested. The landlord tyrant would pour water on her, and let her kneel outside, so that she could put a basin of water on her head.

"She said the mood at that time was not to die but to run."

The spirit of "fight without death" has become an interpretation of the spirit of Qionghua's role.

Jiang Zuhui also told reporters about a detail in the play.

In dealing with the "Qionghua complaint" scene, she pondered over how to present a girl's complaint and join the army.

At this time, the experience of Hainan also helped Jiang Zuhui. Jiang Zuhui remembered his "complaint meeting" and decided to pass a cup of water from the company commander to Qionghua to bring out the emotional changes in Qionghua.

After an emotional paving, Qionghua's inner feelings poured out, and Qionghua's complaints and enlisting were in the emotional logic.

"I admire and respect the soldiers of the detachment of women in Hainan very much. It is our pride to have such a force in China and fight for women."

Jiang Zuhui said that she had gone a lot of places over the years and felt that women in Hainan were very different from other places.

"When I arrived in Hainan, I first saw women who picked up loads, and I remember clearly that they were wearing brightly colored bell bottoms.
