"We used to make the first kapok jeans, using the characteristics of kapok hollow small and small, the cowboy clothing produced is not only light and beautiful, but also warm in winter and cool in summer, which can eliminate bacteria and mites."

According to Yi Professor, although the cowboy clothing with kapok as raw material has the effect of bacteriostasis and moisture-proof compared with the traditional denim, the kapok garment can not be washed, so it is difficult to promote it.

"We have done a lot of research in allergic groups, and have tried hard to develop a pair of jeans that are sensitive to the skin. This requires a balance between the skin and the fabric."

Professor Yi told reporters that some of the crowd around him is sensitive skin, and jeans will be allergic, so he has developed the idea of developing jeans that are suitable for different skin types.

In order to cope with the requirements of jeans for different ages and skins, the laboratory mainly studies the comfort of cowboy costumes and develops a series of products from the perspective of human physiological characteristics, consumer psychology and human perception, combined with the characteristics of denim fabrics, which has attracted wide attention at home and abroad.

"At present, producing a pair of jeans will produce 200 - 300 kilograms of waste water!" Professor Yi Changhai of the school of textiles said that the traditional cowboy clothing production process is longer, the pattern is single, the procedure is complex and the chemical reagent is widely used, and it is easy to create waste and pollution of water resources.

And such jeans are neither green nor healthy.

In order to change the disadvantages of traditional jeans production, the large denim research laboratory has been innovating and innovating with the technology of laser, ozone and digital processing to achieve the production of micro water.

The waste water produced by the cleaning technology produced by the lab has been reduced to 50 kilograms per piece.

In addition, digital processing can also replace traditional crafts such as hand washing, sandblasting, spraying horse and so on, shorten the process and increase the added value, so as to realize the beauty, low price, fashion and environmental protection of jeans.

"The Hubei cowboy industry has not yet formed a complete industrial chain. Only the front end cotton textile enterprises, the back-end denim, washing water, finishing and other links have not yet been made up."
