1/3 UAE Internet Users Love Cross Border Shopping

In the past 12 months, about 63% of consumers in the United Arab Emirates have been shopping online, and 60% of them have been shopping from foreign websites.
The survey found that the websites of the United States, Britain and India that brush the country are most favored by UAE consumers.
According to recent reports, a global study by PayPal shows that 1/3 of adult Internet users expect to try cross border online shopping in the next 12 months or increase online cross-border shopping volume.
The survey was conducted by IPSOS, and the survey of 17500 consumers in 22 regions explored the consumption habits of global online consumers.

According to the survey of adult netizens, about 49% of netizens are shopping on local websites and shopping from overseas websites. The three countries most favored by Emirates online consumers are the United States, Britain and India.
Nearly 1/3 of online shoppers say they spend 11% to 50% of their online shopping expenses.

Above, 12% of online shoppers say this proportion has reached 51% to 100%.
A survey of cross-border Internet buyers in the United Arab Emirates showed that 43% of consumers used to buy tourism products on overseas websites, followed by clothing,

Accessories, consumer electronics, jewelry, watches, tickets, cosmetics, digital and educational products, sports and entertainment products, household appliances, toys and other entertainment products.
The main driving factors for UAE consumers to cross border online shopping are sellers' exemption from freight, payment channels, safety and reliability, and local purchases of certain items.
At the same time, pportation costs, worries about identity theft and fraud, and physical objects inconsistent with sellers' descriptions have become the biggest obstacle to consumers from shopping on foreign websites.
The results also show that 40% of online consumers use the Internet to search, select and order products because of the convenience of online shopping, that is, to save time and energy, while 27% of online consumers admit that their online search products are mainly aimed at saving money.
For UAE online consumers, another motive of their online search products is to find interesting, rare and fresh products.
