China'S Clothing Export Market Is Beginning To Pick Up.

Our exports to the EU amounted to US $38 billion 580 million, an increase of 17.1%, accounting for 24.8%, and US exports of clothing amounted to US $28 billion 280 million, an increase of 8.5%, accounting for 18.2%.

Affected by the shift of the Japanese purchasing focus and the increase of the consumption tax, exports to Japan continued negative growth since February of this year, with an export volume of US $16 billion 600 million, down 11.2%, accounting for 10.7%.

The mainland's exports to Hongkong continued to decline year-on-year, with exports of US $7 billion 230 million, down 15.4%, accounting for 4.6%.

The industry believes that the amount of clothing exported to Hongkong has declined due to the suppression of false trade arbitrage this year.

The total export of knitted garments was 68 billion 690 million US dollars, down 5%, and the number of exports decreased by 0.5%.

Exports of cotton and silk knitted garments continued to decline, down 8.4% and 83.5% respectively, and gross leather clothing exports totaled $2 billion 700 million, up 38.1% over the same period last year.
