"We made the first kapok jeans. The cowboy clothing made of kapok is small and light. It is not only light and beautiful, but also warm in winter and cool in summer. It can kill bacteria and kill mites."

Professor Yi said that although the cowboy clothing made of kapok has antibacterial and moisture-proof properties than traditional denim, the kapok garment can not be washed, so it is difficult to popularize.

"We have done a lot of research in allergic groups, and have tried hard to develop a pair of jeans that are sensitive to the skin. This requires a balance between the skin and the fabric."

According to Professor Yi, some people around him are sensitive skin, and jeans will be allergic. Therefore, the idea of developing jeans suitable for different skin types has sprouted.

In order to cope with the requirements of jeans for different ages and skins, the laboratory mainly studies the comfort of cowboy costumes and develops a series of products from the perspective of human physiological characteristics, consumer psychology and human perception, combined with the characteristics of denim fabrics, which has attracted wide attention at home and abroad.

Yi Changhai introduced that the traditional cowboy clothing production process is longer, the pattern is single, the procedure is complex, and a large number of chemical reagents are used, so it is easy to create waste and pollution of water resources.

In order to change the disadvantages of traditional jeans production, the cowboy research laboratory used laser, ozone and digital processing technology to reform and innovate the traditional cowboy production process and realize the production of micro water.

The waste water produced by the cleaning technology produced by the lab has been reduced to 50 kilograms per piece.

In addition, digital processing can also replace traditional crafts such as hand washing, sandblasting, spraying horse and so on, shorten the process and increase the added value, so as to realize the beauty, low price, fashion and environmental protection of jeans.

"The Hubei cowboy industry has not yet formed a complete industrial chain. Only the front end cotton textile enterprises, the back-end denim, washing water, finishing and other links have not yet been made up."
