The Third Congress Of China Cotton Association Held

In December 16th, the third member congress of China Cotton Association was held in Beijing.

The conference summed up the work of the Second Council for 5 years, and elected the Third Council and its leading bodies.

Dai Gongxing, member of the twelfth session of the CPPCC National Committee, member of the economic committee, the former party member of the national supply and marketing cooperative group, and vice director of the Council, were elected president of the China Cotton Association. Gao Fang, director of the cotton and hemp Bureau of the national supply and marketing cooperative society, and Wang Zhengwei, chairman of the national cotton exchange market, were elected vice chairmen. Wang Jianhong, deputy director of the cotton and hemp Bureau of the national supply and Marketing Cooperative Society of China, was elected secretary general. Wang Zhengwei, vice chairman of the National Federation of supply and marketing cooperatives, was elected vice president.

Dai Gong Xing put forward four suggestions for the new director's work: first, strengthen the research on the cotton industry and related industries, serve the state regulation; two, reflect the industry's demands, safeguard the rights and interests of the industry and promote self-discipline; three, constantly innovate and improve the service and service level of the Association; four, strengthen international cooperation and exchanges, and promote the development of the world's cotton industry.

The number and level of the exhibition service enterprises have been obviously improved, and the exhibition industry system has been initially formed in Haikou.

In 2002, the Convention and exhibition industry in Haikou was really started. Under the high attention of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government, the development of the exhibition industry has obviously accelerated. The number and scale of the exhibition are growing at an annual rate of nearly 30%. Now, there are more than 200 large-scale conferences and exhibitions held annually, and more than 6 thousand of the conferences have been held.

With the continuous maturity of the market, the level of specialization and internationalization of mice has been continuously improved, and the role of MICE industry in promoting economic and social development in Haikou has been significantly enhanced.

According to media reports, by the end of 2015, Haikou had striving to create 1 International Forum brands, 2 to 3 famous exhibition brands and 3 to 5 important international large fixed meetings, making the exhibition industry an important driving force and a new economic growth pole to promote the green rise of Haikou's economic development.
